Tonight, 5 crews + Command Officers attended a fire involving a commercial unit & several vehicles, Pontesbury. Assertive firefighting reduced the risk of spread to fields and other property. We will be on scene for the next couple of hours, some resources being released.
We are currently in attendance in Clunton, South Shropshire at a large fire involving wood pile and woodland. Wind is creating challenging conditions for firefighting operations. We have 8 fire engines + support crews.
Please stay put, keep windows & doors closed.
‼ We are attending a large field fire in Longden, Shrewsbury which has spread to nearby buildings.
We have nine crews in attendance and encourage the public to avoid the area
Four Firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus and using four hose reel jets to tackle the incident
