I know that we can count on Olivia to stand up for people, and their human rights and their dignity and wellbeing. It's so important that everyone gets out to vote on Monday October 26th Olivia. Or we could get stuck with a mayor we do not want and cannot afford. Brad Bradford will say anything to get elected. He flip flops. He cant be counted on. We can't trust him. We know who @oliviachow Chow is. So please make sure you go and vote for Olivia. A Mayor we can trust.

1/ 8 years of @BradMBradford & all I got was a rusted balcony guard at 500 Dawes. I recall the discussions I had with Bradford about 500 Dawes. He had no interest in utilizing the City's remedial action powers & spoke highly of the 20k in fines the City imposed at that time.

What’s Brad Math? Making costly promises without saying how you’ll pay for them. Gord Perks breaks down Brad’s math ⤵️ Paying for his promises would take at least a 13.5% property tax increase, massive cuts to services, or selling assets (ie privatizing our water). Or all three.

We’re building more supportive housing — with Dunn House 3, 4, and 5. I was proud to stand with Minister Gregor Robertson, Build Canada Homes CEO Ana Bailao and UHN Dr. Andrew Boozary to announce this funding for these new homes. We’re building more housing together, bringing people safe inside, and into stable living.  toronto.ca/news/city-of-toro…

1/ That's right. Bradford refused to meet with tenants & advocates from @TorontoAcorn who asked for a formal meeting to discuss remedial action @ 500 Dawes ACORN opted to reach out to Oliva Chow after months of trying to set up a meeting w/ his office See below (APRIL 2024):
Brad Bradford failed renters in his ward. He refused to meet with his own constituents and help them take on one of Toronto’s worst landlords. Olivia Chow stepped in, the landlord went to jail, and was charged for the work to repair the building. Just ask the renters 👇

3/ to add insult, his renters' platform draws directly from @TorontoACORN; an organization he has refused to meet with & privately disparages. I was gobsmacked when I saw it. As a City, we are doing better and we should continue doing so. Chose better, not Bradford.

I went to an all-candidates meeting a couple weeks back for Ward 19 and you could tell there was no pushback from the audience or candidates when they referenced the lack of job Bradford was doing

In Beaches-East York, what do candidates for Council think about Councillor Bradford’s performance? Spoiler: pretty bad. A while weeks back I got to speak to the candidates for Council at a lovely local park in BEY (that @abctoronto describes as dirty) to ask tabout Bradford.

A reminder on this unseasonably hot day that we do not need a mayor who makes culture wars out of data-proven ways to keep this city cool. We do not need a mayor who will leave poorer neighbourhoods to swelter in the heat while giving tax breaks to wealthy home-owners.

Toronto renters - this election is about you: -Diana Chan McNally (Ward 4) would be the only Councillor who rents -Mayor Chow is the candidate I trust to protect renters -Chiara Padovani (Ward 5) fights for renter's rights By @raghu_venugopal Please tell him his links don't work.

“Crime is down in Toronto — homicides at a 50-year low, shootings and robberies falling — yet most Torontonians believe the opposite is true, and that disconnect has become a flashpoint in the mayoral race.” Vote for who you like, just don’t lie to about Toronto to convince us.

Brad Bradford asks his Oct 8 rally crowd who's had a car stolen nearly every hand goes up. Pledges 1,000 more frontline officers for streets, transit and investigations. ko-fi.com/mitch6669 #Toronto #Canada #news
