Great Miami Rowing Center hosted 22 youth athletes at a weekend event that introduced them to #coastalrowing #beachsprints. What's going on where you live? Are there LTR opportunities for coastal?

Good news for my home waters, the Anacostia River. D.C.’s antiquated sewer system results in sewage overflow, making the city’s rivers too polluted to swim or fish in. This $2.7 billion project is expected to prevent 98% of overflows into the Anacostia.

We don't know all the details of Iowa Crew Club's fatal capsize on Sunday, but it seems basic safety measures weren't in place. Coaches and club Boards, *please* review @USRowing's safety documents & ensure your club has safety protocols & emergency plans. usrowing.org/sports/2016/6/2…

What’s the collective name for rowing podcasters? I would have said a cacophony, but a combination of stellar MCing and judicious editing makes this a really fun (and startlingly well behaved) get-to-know-you of nearly all the rowing podcasters in the whole world. Worth a listen!
🎧ICYMI: On March 21 we brought together podcasters from around the world to talk learning to row, the perfect stroke, podcasting, surprising guests, and whether port or starboard is better. Listen at steadystatenetwork.com/podca…
