Things I won't miss after returning to Europe from the US: 1. Free water in restaurants (could be spiked with fentanyl) 2. AC in every building (can get sick easily) 3. Strangers smiling at me and asking how my day is going (too invasive) 4. Big portions in restaurants (food waste) 5. Same-day delivery (overworking couriers) 6. Free public toilets (customer should pay) 7. Ice in my drink (bad for my throat) Lifestyle in Europe is just too good

A very important thing for young people to know: there really isn't a secret cabal of folks running things. From major corporations to White House on down, it's all imperfect information, conflicts over what to do, and (generally) earnest hardworking people trying their best. 1/3
This is an amazing quote from Lindsey Graham about when he realized how politics works. theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0…

People can argue capitalism sucks, but claims that indigenous peoples lived more prosperous, peaceful lives are nonsense. The Cherokee were warriors who kept captives as slaves. Pre-industrial and stateless societies were far poorer and more violent than ours. Ethnographic and anthropological studies suggest that in small-scale and non-state societies, 5-20% of deaths came from violence. In America, that number is less than 1%. This chipper ninny sells the popular leftist idea that it's Western society that causes harm, when the reality is that, with our flaws, human society is far better off today than it was in the past.
Clara Mattei brilliantly debunks a century of capitalist propaganda by explaining how capitalism is unnatural, has existed for only 0.1% of human history, took control of the world through violence, and is maintained by coercion and the superficial facade of liberal democracy.

British people like to think that both Britain and America are "poor societies with a few very rich people". In fact, this only describes Britain, not the U.S. British people simply have difficulty comprehending how rich even working-class Americans are. noahpinion.blog/p/no-the-us-…

PSA: Nice cars don’t need to be expensive. Even $20,000 cars today have the same features standard that expensive luxury models had just a few years ago.

Just so we are all on the same page, @ElonMusk has provided more rural broadband in the last day than the government could do in 4 years and has just saved U.S. astronauts who were going to be stuck in space till 2025.
