DR Congo 🇨🇩: If you are curious about the identity of M23, why the US (through Erik Prince) is involved, how Tim Kennedy got shot in eastern DRC, and how Rwanda becomes entangled, watch this 👇🏽
Who is M23? The Rwanda-backed rebel movement now controls large parts of eastern Congo and was linked by Reuters sources to the September 17 ambush in South Kivu that wounded Tim Kennedy; Reuters reported he suffered three gunshot wounds to the leg. Led militarily by Sultani Makenga and politically by Bertrand Bisimwa, M23 emerged in 2012 from former rebels integrated into Congo’s army after a failed 2009 peace settlement. Rooted largely in Congolese Tutsi grievances, it has evolved into an increasingly sophisticated insurgency challenging Kinshasa: controlling cities and mineral territory, collecting taxes, administering populations, and benefiting from extensive Rwandan military support. #TimKennedy #Congo #ErikPrince #Africa

That’s how it started for the US in Vietnam, Somalia, Irak, Afghanistan, Iran… Good luck to them
This is what awaits the Haitian gangs. Nayib Bukele isn’t playing around.

It’s called a country that actually runs like a well-oiled machine—seamless, integrated, top to bottom.
A concept your dysfunctional DRC has never even sniffed.
Paul Kagame makes sure that the military is everywhere. Even during meetings between the president and innocent young Rwandans, you will find military personnel present. This is a way of reminding young Rwandans that they live under an authoritarian regime. Rwanda is treated like his private company, not a country that belongs to its people.

Triggered the second your FDLR uncles get name-dropped? Classic.
Wouldn’t expect more from an usurpateur d’identité; a Munyarwanda LARPing as a white Frenchman on X. 🙄
There are many oversimplifications and factual errors in this article, which largely echoes the propaganda of the ethnocratic regime in Kigali. Much of what is true is presented as false, and much of what is false is presented as true. I will write an article on the subject to set the record straight and reestablish the facts. It was not a genocidal ideology that was decisive in Rwanda in 1994. It is enough to read the empirical studies, particularly Scott Straus’s The Order of Genocide, to understand what the real determinants of this genocide were. It was rather a genocidal strategy that was considered, most likely around October 1993, and that was decided upon immediately after the attack on President Habyarimana. It is clear that the discourse of the former FDLR, naively repeated by this journalist, is the product of a carefully crafted and polished narrative elaborated by Kagame’s propaganda services. Insofar as the alleged ideology is all they have left to justify the unjustifiable, the territorial agression. One understands why this regime — which has its opponents beheaded — pushes its remaining allies, such as Qatar, to spread the last biaised rationalization still available to them.

DR Congo 🇨🇩 is unreal ▶️The Rolls-Royce Cullinan ranges around $430k to $650k ▶️The average gross monthly salary is ~$100 ▶️Around 73% to 75% of the population lives in extreme poverty, surviving on less than $2.15 per day. Let that sink in 🤔

News flash: claiming that Rwandans resemble Ethiopians misrepresents reality. In truth, this dude reflects a typical Munyarwanda 👇🏽
Ethiopians are just Rwandans with slightly better skin tone and some curly hair

Nigeria’s celeb factory runs nonstop—Afrobeats, Nollywood—yet average folks still dodge poverty & kidnappings. Soft power is cute when you’re cashing the checks. Rwanda? Skips the red-carpet Olympics & somehow more order, security, youth & female participation in leadership roles
There is no Rwandan doing exceptionally in the arts, politics, film or music globally, except their President. 😂

Do people pause to consider why F1 labels it the African Grand Prix instead of the Rwanda Grand Prix? 🙄
This Twar between South African and Rwandan influencers is ludicrous! I bet South africans , Kenyans, Nigerians will make more money out of this opportunity than Rwandans. Ask who has the gig of sound and audio visual systems of BK arena!

Why assume they’re mutually exclusive?
Local leaders can be corrupt and incompetent while external actors (West, China, regional powers) exploit the vacuum, or actively decide who rules. Treating it as an either/or is the real nonsense.
This is why the whole #SaveCongo 🇨🇩 movement and how they like to frame it as saving it "from the West" is utter nonsense. The state of the DRC today is fully the fault of its OWN leadership over the past 30 years.

This is the crux of the story: 5. The @WhiteHouse also told the Times something very troubling. Mildon's lawyer gave them bank information about the account- but the sender's name was blacked out (!!!!). Whose name is it?

DRC 🇨🇩 USA 🇺🇸: DJT and Tshisekedi are like two hustlers splitting a mineral score: one sells the “peace deal” photo-op, the other funnels Congo cash to Trump-world middlemen while both pocket the graft and leave the region burning. nytimes.com/2026/10/17/us/po…

DR Congo 🇨🇩: Government failures manifest in many ways… none more corrosive than corruption that turns public office into a private profit center, where accountability is optional and the only real skill required is knowing whose palm to grease.
