You really haven't lived until you've listened to an Abel Ferrara commentary track.

Sorry to toot our own horn, but our Rogue Commentary podcast’s exclusive A History of Violence commentary – featuring Oscar-nominated screenwriter @joshuarolson – is one of our favourite episodes 🎧

Mike Leigh's hugely influential Nuts in May will be released on Blu-ray for the first time this August!
Pre-order today from the BFI Shop theb.fi/49GsWHb
ALT Blu-ray cover for Nuts in May showing two people outdoors, dressed in coats and hats. The green background includes illustrations of animals, bicycles and tents. In the top left corner is a BFI logo and yellow PG triangle in the bottom right corner.
ALT Three individuals are gathered around a vintage car. One person is seated inside, looking towards the camera, while the other two stand outside holding cups. They are dressed warmly, suggesting a chilly or rainy day. The setting appears to be outdoors, possibly in a rural area.
ALT Three people stand on a rocky outdoor area. The person in the middle is gesturing into the distance whilst others look in the same direction. They are dressed in warm, casual clothing.

My favourite Brydon is the Director’s Commentary series. And hardly anybody has seen it.

What a fantastic final night of the mini-tour celebrating the home release of @RunningManMovie on 4K UHD & Blu-ray.
It is always a joy screening a film in NFT1 at the @BFI Southbank (ranked #4 on @TimeOutLondon's list of Best Cinemas in the World!) and great to top it off with a Q&A with the great @ChrisHewitt. Huge thanks as well to none other than @glenpowell for recording a special shout-out to the BFI crowd.
So lovely to have cast in attendance too: Joey Ansah, Chris Rogers, Georgia Goodman, Negative Dude Chi Lewis-Parry, and of course the wonderful Sandra Dickinson, who closed the night with a quick serenade of Button Moon (!!!).
If you were there, I’d love to hear what you thought. And if it was your second (or thirty-fourth!) viewing… what details did you spot this time?

From one of our favourite exclusive episodes... in which famous TV show does the hotel at the beginning of A History of Violence feature? Oscar-nominated screenwriter @joshuarolson spills the beans...

BAD DAY AT BLACK ROCK (1955)
Perhaps the best director's commentary ever. John Sturges shares more film info, history and knowledge in the first five minutes than other directors can in two hours. Paul Thomas Anderson said this commentary is better than four years of film school.

@RogueCommentary I’m absolutely loving the Wesley Strick “Cape Fear” episode. Just a terrific interview.

It’s standard operating procedure to mix audio commentaries with low-level audio from the film, but does that serve any purpose, other than make audio commentaries challenging to listen to?
We’re mixing our Hoard-io commentary and would love to hear your thoughts.
