A U.S. Army officer falls to the field at high speed during a fast rope demonstration gone wrong during the Navy vs UTSA pregame tonight.
The officer was attended to on the field and taken to the hospital on a stretcher. There has been no update on his condition but we pray that he was not seriously injured.

Air Force confirmed the service member, a USAF Airman, died from injuries after the rappelling demonstration. It was not a fast-rope or Army officer.

Just adding my 2 cents to this discourse because it involves some engineering that Hibernaculum deals with;
1) There are what are known as ''mach diamonds'' clearly visible which can only be produced by liquified gases ie rocketry. Not fans. Not compressed gas, or air.

Mach diamonds appear in supersonic exhaust from compressed air cold-gas thrusters, as used in the Tesla Roadster demo; they are not exclusive to rocketry or liquified gases. The vehicle uses an underbody fan suction system for surface adhesion alongside thrusters.

TALARICO: When I left the hospital, I went to Walgreens to pick up my first 30 day supply of insulin—this new medicine that I now needed to live, and it cost me $684. I didn't have that kind of money, so I put it on a credit card. So many Texans with diabetes can't afford their insulin, can't afford the medicine that they need to live. And it's all because big pharma has a monopoly..

A Georgia police officer shoots and kills a beloved 1-year-old miniature donkey named HeeHaw as the animal approaches officers searching a farm for a missing child.
Newly released bodycam footage shows the small donkey moving toward officers before one attempts to use a Taser and another opens fire. HeeHaw runs away before collapsing in the field.
The officer claims the donkey was charging at police, but his devastated owner insists HeeHaw was simply approaching people the way he always did.
The officer is on administrative leave as state investigators examine the shooting.
