Equally amazing is that 45 years later, one of these people is still serving in student ministry at #SaddlebackChurch.
You are never too old to make a difference and pass things on to the next generations.

Paul Pressler was not a good man with one really bad sin. He was a bad man. Period.
His purpose was power.
His tactics were slander.
His ethics were non existent.
His co-conspirators were shady.
He was bad up, down, left, right, east, west, north, and south.

“At every step in his SBC career, leaders at all levels covered for him and enabled him. The leadership structure of the SBC looks like it does and operates as it has for years because Paul Pressler and men like him ran rampant within it.”

I really don’t understand why people like Al Mohler and other prominent Southern Baptists who speak regularly about public figures who are morally repugnant aren’t saying anything about the predator Paul Pressler. I mean, there’s no question now, right? What’s the deal?

Congratulations to Jim Harbaugh @CoachJim4UM for winning the National Championship in Houston last night, then catching a plane to L.A. so that at 3:15 am this morning he was doing quarterback drills with Chargers Justin Herbert in Sofi Stadium. He's a Purpose-Driven Coach!

Please stay outraged and get to the answers of how this happened, who authorized, how legal action can take place behind the backs of the majority
This is unconscionable
Then convention being more concerned (Mohler et al) being more concerned with female Pastors -this is evil

This is a woefully pitiful response by Al Mohler. As Jacob notes, they work for SBTS. Al should have the guts to say “I might not know the law, but I do know the Bible. And Jesus would not want SBTS LEGALLY and VOCALLY opposing a child sex abuse victim. It’s not that hard people.

What good could suffering possibly serve? A pastor reflects on what he has learned from losing a son to suicide.

This just happened in Bangladesh! 43 youth leaders were trained by ministry partners in the 7 Gospel Advancing values.
Then they collectively took the Gospel Advancing Pledge in Bengali!
Here’s the pledge, “I am a Gospel Advancing leader. Through the power of God's Spirit within me, I will share the Gospel personally.
I will mobilize teenagers to do the same. I will recruit and equip other youth leaders to join me on this mission. I won't stop until every teen, everywhere, hears the Gospel from a friend!”
Will you take the same pledge?
Pray about it, decide, say it out loud and then text the word Commit to 27126 for free resources to help you get started.

The SBC lost 457K folks last year.
With Saddleback's appeal being denied, their 54K members have now fallen off the rolls.
And with Elevation, that's another 10K gone.
Those 2 churches represented ~2.5% of ALL SBC baptisms last year, too.
Some SBC news...
Elevation Church has decided to withdraw from cooperation.
