My op-ed today:
Senate Republicans killed the clearest path to cannabis legalization in state history. If they're serious about moving forward, they must bring up my bill again or send the House another proposal.
We're ready to negotiate when you are.

🎉 HB 151 passed out of committee unanimously today.
PPC is proud to support this legislation and to have worked alongside @RepKrajewski to advance policies that strengthen outcomes for Pennsylvania children and families.

We just passed two of my bills — HB133 and HB138 — out of the House with overwhelming bipartisan support.
These bills are about holding together and reuniting families impacted by the child welfare system.
We must do more to support working class families.

Great news out of Harrisburg! This bill helps provide a pathway to families for the restoration of terminated parental rights. We know the deep harm the family regulation system causes when it tears families apart. pahouse.com/InTheNews/NewsRe…

BREAKING: The PA Supreme Court has struck down mandatory life sentences for people convicted of felony murder, a watershed moment that will lead to one of the largest re-sentencing undertakings in United States history. My story is at spotlightpa dot org.
A huge victory for incarcerated Pennsylvanians, stemming from decades of legal advocacy and organizing.
The mandatory life sentence for felony murder has destroyed lives for a generation.
Now, we’re going to bring it to an end.

We are celebrating historic bipartisan support for post-arrest youth diversion in the Pennsylvania State House!
Last year I led a delegation to Harrisburg to advocate for youth diversion because it is a win-win.
Post-arrest youth diversion for nonviolent crimes:
✅️ Is twice as effective at preventing recidivism
✅️ Gets victims restitution faster
✅️ Saves taxpayers money
✅️ Keeps communities whole
Congratulations to @RepKrajewski @Rep_ADC @bellmonforpa and everyone in the Pennsylvania Justice Alliance on getting HB 144, HB 150, and HB 1936 through the State House with overwhelming support on both sides of the aisle!
Now it is up to the State Senate to send these bills to Governor Shapiro's desk without delay!
Proud to say my legislation expanding the use of juvenile diversion, HB 144, passed the House today with overwhelming support.
Diversion saves state dollars, changes lives, and sets youth on a path for success!

Pres. Trump has directed an illegal and unnecessary act of war this weekend in Venezuela. Lives have been lost and many more are at risk, as the US President interferes in the innerworkings of a sovereign nation. This decision has far-reaching consequences at home and abroad. 1/5

Workers in New Jersey are about to get their SEVENTH raise since the last time PA workers got one.
Why?
Senate Republicans are keeping your pay down as your costs rise.

Trump's first act in 2026? An illegal act of war against another country. Our government can always find money for violence and war. Not a penny for health care.

Trump’s attack on Venezuela and abduction of its President are criminal acts of terror. They follow in the darkest traditions of American history: a violent, reckless flex of military power to gain control over foreign resources.

We celebrate HB 150 passing the PA House w/ bipartisan support. This would create a pathway to update and improve PA’s medical release process for people in prison who pose no risk to #publicsafety, who are seriously ill or incapacitated, but pose a significant expense to the DOC
