Ben Stokes retiring from international cricket. Well done Key, McCullum & awful ECB. Such appalling & lax mismanagement was always going to have consequences. His relationship with Key & McCullum clearly broke down during the Ashes tour. Both should been sacked.

Unpopular opinion right now i am sure but i feel for Rob Key .. I know he is a good guy .. has he got things wrong yes very wrong but this latest fiasco theres more to it

Very sorry to hear that @benstokes38 is retiring. I hope he is remembered for the brilliant cricketer he is, & an inspirational captain. Too often we focus on our sports people’s flaws - why do we think they don’t have them? The key is that they are capable of amazing deeds….

What we’ve seen today from Ben Stokes and @englandcricket is one of the most shameful, selfish and self-indulgent acts committed by any sporting team. They’ve insulted their opponents, their hosts at NCCC and the cricketing public.
