Laura, did you actually read the article? The Economist documents a decade of economic stagnation under the Liberals. GDP per capita grew just 4% compared with 23% in the US. Business investment increased 4.2% compared with 51% south of the border. Productivity has lagged, housing has become unaffordable and investment has suffered. The article’s premise is that Trump’s actions may finally force Canada to confront problems our governments have ignored for years. It even acknowledges that many of Carney’s policies resemble Conservative proposals. And about that “most educated country” claim. Education isn’t the same as intelligence. The latest OECD PISA results, released in September 2026, show Canadian students recorded their lowest scores ever in math, reading and science. Some 26% failed to meet minimum math proficiency and 22% fell below minimum reading proficiency. Both figures have deteriorated significantly over the past decade. As for Carney being one of the world’s smartest economists, that’s your opinion, not a measurable achievement. Let’s see the economic results before declaring victory. You’ve proven your elbozoness by not reading, or not understanding what is written in the article and turn an article documenting Canada’s economic failures into a Liberal victory lap.

Carney is exaggerating the numbers AGAIN! * Asylum “down 70%”: Actual 2025 drop was 34% (114,500 vs 173,000 in 2024). The 69–70% only appears in early-2026 vs the 2024 peak * Temporary foreign workers “down 60%”: True for Jan–Jul 2026 new arrivals vs 2024 (59%). Full-year 2025 was closer to 47% * Students “down 80%”: True for Jan–Jul 2026 new arrivals vs 2024. Full-year 2025 was 61% * Permanent residents “down more than 100,000… historically low… under 400,000”: Drop from the 2024 peak (483,640) to the 2026 target (380,000) is about 100,000. Not historically low (pre-2015 levels were often 250–300k). One-time programs add more outside the official target. The temporary-arrival cuts from the peak are real. The percentages and “historically low” claim are inflated Carney is paving the way for his Century Initiative pals, now inside his government, to ramp up the propaganda. The temporary pause isn't the immigration correction he is selling
PM Carney: "The number of permanent residents down by more than 100,000...so we're taking in less than 400,000 - historically low numbers" 400,000 permanent residents a year is not historically low. Before Justin Trudeau the last time immigration was that high was in 1913.

Students supported Mao Students supported Castro Students supported Khomeini Students supported Hitler Students supported Mussolini If find yourself blindly supporting every student lead movement, you’ll be wrong very often, in many eras, on many issues.
A good rule of history: if you find yourself opposing a student movement while siding with the ruling class, you're wrong. Every time, in every era, whatever the issue.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Student movements have not always been on the right side of history. Mao's student Red Guards persecuted hundreds of thousands. Students helped Castro and Khomeini rise to power, and Nazi student groups opposed the Weimar Republic. britannica.com/topic/Red-Guar… encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/art… aei.org/education/actu…

To every American, and to everyone watching France burn from abroad: Do not blame the French people for this. We never asked for it. We never voted for it. And the one time we were clearly asked, we said no. Here are the numbers your media won't show you. 70% of the French say there are too many immigrants in France today. 79% want a tougher immigration policy. 77% disapprove of the government's record on immigration. 83% want foreign criminals and long-term unemployed foreigners sent home. And no, it's not just the old. 69% of French 18 to 24 year olds support suspending legal immigration for three years. This is not a fringe. This is the French people. In 2005, we were asked if we wanted the European Constitution. 55% voted no. Three years later, our politicians passed the same text under another name, through parliament, without ever asking us again. That is modern France in one sentence. The people say no. The elites do it anyway. So who is responsible? The politicians who lied to us. A class of leaders formed in the same schools, the same forums, the same networks, loyal to each other before they are loyal to their nations. In 2017, at Harvard, Klaus Schwab, founder of the World Economic Forum, bragged about his Young Global Leaders program in four words: "We penetrate the cabinets." He added that it was true in France. Emmanuel Macron was one of his Young Global Leaders. It's the same project in Brussels with Ursula von der Leyen and in Paris with Macron. Borders treated as an obstacle. Nations treated as relics. The people treated as a problem to be managed. What you are watching in France is not the French people failing. It is the end of the globalist project, an abject, quasi-communist dream of a world run by unelected planners. It is collapsing everywhere in Europe at once, and the West has to cut this cancer out before it takes the rest of the body with it. The peoples of Europe don't want this. They never did. So when you see our town halls burning, don't say "the French chose this." The French never chose this. They were forced into it. If you're French and you agree, repost this so the world hears it from us. If you're American, look at us carefully. Then choose differently on November 3rd.

We are living in a time when every announcement from Ottawa makes you go WTF...
This is outrageous: "The government also plans to remove the requirement for an employer to prove they can’t find a qualified Canadian for those jobs." "The government is also introducing a temporary policy to remove the requirement for an employer to include a Labour Market Impact Assessment for a qualifying job that’s eligible for the new express entry points."

Is a NWO with China a “Forever Canadian” movement without Canadians votes 🤔 or is an Alliance with The EU without Canadians votes a “Forever Canadian” movement. Seems Canadians have no say when it comes to Carney’s agenda.

Chrystia Freeland was happy to sit around the cabinet table watching this dysfunction for a decade because she loved the car and driver, the power and the profile. She's no hero. Canadians are paying the price for the disastrous decade she and Justin Trudeau oversaw. For her to now trash Trudeau, even if it is well-deserved, is so disgustingly self-serving. This should serve as a reminder to all Canadians that despite the change at the top, the Carney cabinet and caucus are mostly the same collection of idiots and morons that drove Canada into the ditch it now finds itself in. So badly prepared to withstand a trade war and other global shocks. Screw Freeland.
Chrystia Freeland book spills the tea on her ‘Unreliable Boyfriends” and Justin Trudeau does not come off well, @andrewphil writes thestar.com/opinion/star-col… Find out more at nationalnewswatch.com

Carney is using the media to make it appear as if the majority of Canadians support this alliance with the EU so that he can skirt any democratic process. This is not informed consent, this is manufactured support by means of propaganda.
Carney must be stopped. His destruction is far worse and alot quicker than what Trudeau did. If it take 10 years as long as it took for Trudeau supporters to realize Trudeau was a useless POS, then Canada will be destroyed beyond repair.

No referendum, no parliamentary process, just fake polls to manufacture consent. Canada is not a country, it's a globalists' outpost ruled entirely by psychological operations.

Stephen LeDrew, former Liberal Party president, just called out Carney’s pattern. The net-zero banking alliance he pushed on major banks? They walked away. Canadian banks included. The whole thing collapsed. On the Gordie Howe Bridge he told Canadians the split with the US would only happen after Canada recovered costs, including the debt. The actual deal was 50% of net revenues for 15 years going to a US-controlled fund. Debt not covered. He later said he should have been clearer. On his assets he said cash and real estate. The filings showed millions in US shares and oil. His wife gets appointed ocean envoy. $82 million follows for the oceans file. No outcry. He rarely shows up in Parliament. The Liberals bought a majority. When it gets close they shut it down. Groceries are high. Diesel is high. When this prime minister speaks, look behind what he just said. #cdnpoli
I hope Canadians open their eyes and see through Carney’s lies and see what’s really going on. Poor Canada! 🇨🇦 #Canada #Canadian
