How did I become a paleontologist?
My story is very common. When Jurassic Park premiered in my country, there was merchandising everywhere. My grandma bought my brother these dinosaur magazines that came with glow-in-the-dark bones. He loved the bones but was too young to read...

Hey Twitter I'm on a mission:
The woman in this photo was an attendee at a 1971 International Conference on Biology of Whales.
She is the only woman, & the only one captioned "not identified" in the article I found the photo in. All the men are named.
Can you help me know her?

I was asked to speak at an event on “what it’s like to be a woman in science”. In the spirit of transparency, I tell them I’m pregnant but will still be working at that point. They emailed back today saying they will “go with another speaker” ☹️ #womeninSTEM – at Auckland, New Zealand

At the age of 15 my oldest son Lee attempted suicide at his foster care placement. After being taken to the hospital and his recovery (which I was never told about) he spent hours googling my home. He saved $300 and took a bus from Winnipeg.
