I guess the cool thing about #psychology is all the pushback you’ll experience for stating basic facts. The top responses to this tweet are condescending and at times a little mean...even though these are pretty basic truths. xitter.cf/primalpoly/status/9762…
There’s something about the way we’re socializing boys. They don’t relate to female role models. My guess is this extends beyond the idea of the scientist - boys just don’t draw women and girls. xitter.cf/alicejanegray/status/9…
In the 1960s, less than 1% of children would draw a female scientist - this has risen by 28%.
Which is still less than 30%, but it is an improvement!
