🚨 DID YOU MISS THIS?! QUANTUM COMPUTING IS ALREADY ON BITTENSOR! I sat down with Bob Wold ( @BeyondNISQ ), founder of qBitTensor Labs, to dive into SN48 @QuantumSN48 and @EnigmaSN63 And theres A LOT happening here! 🔹 SN48 uses bittensor:native incentives to subsidize access to REAL quantum computers. 🔹 Miners execute real quantum workloads and earn ALPHA. 🔹 Users receive $50 in free quantum compute every 90 days. 🔹 SN48 is opening mining and beginning revenue funded ALPHA buybacks. 🔹 SN63 Enigma offers a $250,000 RSA encryption breaking challenge. 🔹 Could quantum computers eventually break Bitcoin and access Satoshi's wallet? 🔹 Google's Willow chip and the race toward quantum resistant cryptography. ⏱️ CHAPTERS 00:00 Intro Song 00:58 Can Quantum Computing Break Bitcoin? 02:07 Meet Bob Wold 03:52 Quantum Computing Explained 09:50 SN48 Quantum Compute 19:28 SN63 Enigma & $250K RSA Challenge 25:49 Quantum Threats to Bitcoin 35:19 Can Bitcoin Become Quantum Resistant? 39:16 Google's Willow Chip One of the most interesting conversations we've had about the future of Bittensor! 🎥 WATCH THE FULL INTERVIEW 👇 youtube.com/live/rEaGFK5yn8g #Bittensor #TAO #QuantumComputing

Status Update on 63 + 48 Emission: As of this morning, emission has been reenabled on both @EnigmaSN63 and @QuantumSN48. Reports have told us that this is true for the other subnets affected by this cutoff as well. This is of course exciting, but does leave us with a number of questions still. At this time, we still have little insight into how these decisions were made or why. If @const_reborn or anyone at @opentensor has these answers, we'd love to talk and share our own insights on how sudden changes like this can impact subnets and more importantly, the holders who see the vision and have staked their hard-earned TAO. In the meantime, we'll continue with our own investigation, so we can avoid another event like this in the future. It's been heartwarming to see the support from the community during this difficult and confusing time and we appreciate all of you who helped make our voice heard 🩵

Today we debut our 256 physical qubit system: IonQ Superion 256. Our company has evolved through many stages to get to this day: 🔸 From Dr. Chris Monroe and Dr. Jungsang Kim’s foundational trapped ion breakthroughs 🔸 To integrating trapped ions on semiconductor chips 🔸 To adding networking, sensing and security technologies 🔸 To releasing our Walking Cat architecture 🔸 And to adding U.S.-based quantum manufacturing capabilities that underpin the entire quantum ecosystem It’s the first generation in our new line of quantum computers. Today we are excited to announce plans for the Tennessee Quantum Communications Research Center with @EPB_Chattanooga—the first dedicated next generation quantum communication research and development innovation lab directly connected to a real-world network. Based in Chattanooga and staffed by IonQ scientists, the lab will house the world’s first commercial Quantum Memory embedded within an operational communications network. We are fully invested in this initiative with a five-year commitment of $15 million, supporting EPB quantum assets that are projected to generate up to $1.1 billion in community benefit in Chattanooga over the next 10 years. @BeyondNISQ spitting straight 🔥 on the current state of the quantum industry. The hardware is extremely promising but excess hype can mask the true narratives, resulting in more long-term bearishness when promises made by marketing teams go undelivered. That doesn't mean we should ignore quantum though -- quite the opposite. With the hardware making tremendous progress by the day, we now need to be asking ourselves how we can best prepare ourselves for utility-scale quantum computers. This means developing quantum strategies, workforce education, and researching algorithms that translate business problems into real use-cases. The question is no longer: "Is quantum coming?" It's now: "How can I become quantum-ready?" If you're invested in the future of quantum, you definitely want to give this a read.

The quantum bears really did not want this one coming out. From our streaming platform going down, to our recordings coming out corrupted, this was the episode that shouldn't have been. But against all odds, here is QBTLL #14. Thank you all for your patience and we hope you're as excited about these updates as we are! 🩵 youtu.be/q09ddzrLZdM?si=7-Wt…

Careful though-- physical qubits ≠ progress. Actual progress is 🔥 The QPU industry's actual failure isn't the trajectory it's the access model. Research can't get QPU time without piles of money. (That's what @QuantumSN48 fixes on @bittensor). For the geeks-- a few important notes: → Dec 2023, IBM Condor hit 1,121 qubits. Missing from your chart. Same summit, IBM also announced Heron at 156 qubits with way better fidelity. Condor was a feasibility milestone, not a production target. Translation: industry decided quality is the new game. The whole industry pivoted that quarter. Charting physical qubits after that is charting a metric the field deliberately abandoned. IBM → Dec 2024, Google Willow crossed below-threshold error correction. First time in the field's 30-year history. A 101-qubit distance-7 code with logical error suppressed by Λ = 2.14 per code-distance increase, exceeding the best physical qubit's lifetime by 2.4x. Translation: Adding qubits now makes errors better, not worse. This is a key inflection. → Microsoft + Quantinuum: 12 logical qubits running with circuit error rate of 0.0011 vs. 0.024 for physical — 22x improvement. Translation: Logical isn't theoretical anymore. → Oxford Ionics: 99.99% two-qubit gate fidelity in 2025. Quantinuum: 99.9%+. Why is this important: Its squarely in the regime where error correction actually works. → RSA factoring requirement: dropped from 20 million qubits to ~1 million in 2025. Goalpost moved 20x closer in a single paper. → Quantinuum Helios shipped commercially Nov 2025 — 98 fully-connected trapped-ion qubits, >99.9% fidelity, with a new real-time control engine. This is production hardware, today. Right metrics to watch are logical qubits and gate fidelity. Both are on a tear. Charting physical qubit count past 2023 is like charting CPU GHz past 2005 (measuring the metric the industry deliberately stopped optimizing)

Someone just won 1 BTC for breaking a piece of Bitcoin's underlying encryption on a public quantum computer. Sept 2025: 6 bits broken on IBM hardware. April 2026: Giancarlo Lelli broke 15 bits on rented cloud QPUs and claimed Project Eleven's @projecteleven Q-Day bounty. 512x in seven months. Bitcoin uses 256-bit secp256k1 so this isn't an immediate threat but the gap between theory and practice is closing faster than any major chain is moving. Most chains are waiting for Q-Day. Bittensor is already running the infrastructure to meet it. @QuantumSN48 is the execution layer — a platform routing quantum jobs to real QPUs. @EnigmaSN63 is the research layer, in which miners stress-test quantum proofs and circuit constructions, and the team currently pressure-tests Bittensor primitives like treasury wallets in the same environment. Worth holding in your head: $TAO runs on Substrate with sr25519. Different scheme than Bitcoin's ECDSA, but the same elliptic curve discrete logarithm problem underneath. Same Shor's exposure. No public post-quantum roadmap from the foundation yet. coindesk.com/tech/2026/04/24… Convince me that #bittensor and every cryptography out there doesn't need a public post-quantum roadmap. - τ
