A pint is not a pint. A UK pint is about 568 ml. A US pint is about 473 ml. So the same word on a pub menu in London and a bar in Chicago gives you different amounts. We put this in the English phrasebook we are writing, in the UK and US word section. Which word confused you most on a trip?

Emergency numbers differ by country: 911 in the US, 999 in the UK (112 also works there), 112 in the EU. Know the one for where you land.

Spain's official tourism site gives lunch as about 13:00 to 16:00 and dinner as 20:00 to 23:00. A kitchen that is closed at 18:00 is normal, not rude.

112 is the emergency number across the EU, free from fixed and mobile phones. Learn where you are first (street, number), then say what happened.

Before you pay for a side hustle course, check 4 things: - a promised income figure - "no experience needed" - "risk-free" - pressure to buy today Two or more? Close the tab and sleep on it. Which one do you see most?

The FTC says crypto payments usually cannot be reversed. That is why the send checklist we wrote puts the pause before the confirm button, not after.

Made-up example from a worksheet: a 24.00 tote bag leaves 16.07 after materials, packaging and fees (card fee assumed at 3% + 0.25). The fee line is the one beginners skip. #Etsy

Before you pay for an AI course, count the red flags. Pay first. Big money, little work. Income screenshots. Countdown timers. 3 or more? Close the tab.

Using AI all day and not making more money? This prompt fixes that with the test Alex Hormozi says 99% of people fail. He says the real reason people don’t get ahead is that they can’t tell “what’s important and what’s irrelevant.” AI only does the irrelevant stuff faster, “except this time it cost you tokens.” --- “I want to run my week through Alex Hormozi’s test. He says most people never get ahead because they can’t tell what’s important from what’s irrelevant. Go through what I did last week, then give me: → the 3 tasks that made me money or moved my biggest goal → the tasks that felt productive and changed nothing → what to hand to AI, what to drop and what to do more of → next week’s plan, built around the 3 that matter Don’t call a task important unless you can say how it makes money or moves my goal. My goal and last week [PASTE YOUR GOAL AND YOUR CALENDAR OR TO-DO LIST]” --- Run it every Friday before you plan the next week.

A 30-day countdown for a first freelance month: one small task a day. Day 14 is the rate calculator. Miss a day? Carry on with the next one. There's no pass or fail. Which day would you get stuck on?

Thanks for sharing real numbers. Did your hours change much once you had two or three regular clients?

Good point about . Writing down what's included before the first call seems to save a lot of back-and-forth. Do you put it in writing every time?

Useful breakdown. Did the numbers change once you counted your hours too?

This is the part nobody shows. What made you pick this idea over the others?
