Triage is also being done very differently in different practices, and process for booking appointments is variable too. Rapid learning opportunity - where is this working well, why? Sharing best practice.

This woman hit my car. Her husband was nasty & tried to intimidate me. 5 men in plain clothes jump out of the car to help because he was so awful & he shouts "Don't get involved, I am calling the Police." They whip their badges out and said "We are the Police, leave her alone."

I'm paid a fixed salary and so are all the Doctors I work with. First time I've been able to find this sort of position. We all work hard because we like the work and are dedicated.

From a long-time Kaiser Permanente physician: Combine salaried physicians, proper financial incentives (capitation and a commitment to outstanding quality outcomes), strong leadership, and a large integrated group structure. This is the foundation for outstanding results.
