Senator Lana Theis accused me by name of grooming and sexualizing children in an attempt to marginalize me for standing up against her marginalizing the LGBTQ community...in a fundraising email, for herself. Hate wins when people like me stand by and let it happen. I won't.

FDA pre-authorizes trial design for registration studies, and the value of FDA approval (and patent exclusivity) is enormous. FDA could demand better endpoints and better control arms. Investigators could create an independent body that endorses ethical trial design for US pts.

This is a sad example of how the racial disparity card is played wrongfully. It’s easier to “talk” about disparities than it is to talk about financial conflict between societies and pharma, bad endpoints and flawed trials. True for cancer societies too.
Today’s draft decision by @CMSGov is shocking discrimination against everyone with Alzheimer’s disease, especially those who are already disproportionately impacted by this fatal disease, including women, Blacks and Hispanics. Read our statement. alz.org/news/2022/alzheimers…

From my grandparents and parents I heard stories of Joseph Stalin being praised by his coterie and state media for his “deep understanding” of science. I thought I would never see that type of thing in my lifetime and CERTAINLY not in the US. I was wrong.
"[Trump is] so attentive to the scientific literature & the details & the data. I think his ability to analyze & integrate data that comes out of his long history in business has really been a real benefit” -- this is shocking, hackish stuff from Dr. Birx.

1/ I may be repeating myself, but I want to fight this sense of security that I see outside of the epicenters, as if nothing was going to happen "here". The media in Europe are reassuring, politicians are reassuring, while there's little to be reassured of. #COVID19 #coronavirus
