Almost 5 years ago, and we had no idea it would be such a wild ride! All the fans I've met over the years has been such a heartwarming pleasure everytime. And now #HorizonForbiddenWest has gone gold as well ❤️
It's been one helluva ride, but #HorizonZeroDawn has finally gone Gold! I'm so excited right now :D

alright, and any water/windex during the session? I use that as ‘lubricant’ myself (spray in the top every ~20 seconds after the first minute or so)

i was under the impression you were getting it properly last time, sorry to not have followed up! I am unfortunately a bit struck for time with work and personal life, so I cannot promise anything anytime soon :(

the 2nd video seems correct to me! The shafts need to spin freely, with a little pressure on the pads. Then it’s a matter of applying some polish, and keeping it ‘lubricated’ with some windex (or similar) sprays in there every now and then. Repeat that process, that’s all ^_^

pretty colour though! I should do a video on that process, it’s confusing most people at first - not anyones fault but mine really 😅 Any specific things that I can answer right away for you that are contusing?

what spectrum UV led’s did you use? I am not 100% sure on this (needs more testing), but I get slightly different results using a single spectrum light. Where full spectrum (and heat) give me a much closer to original result (I typically leave it for 2/3 days).

The result last about as long as submersion (meaning it does yellow again!), but with repeats that period seems to extend longer and longer

adding a heat source is required in my experience to make the vapour really work well! I am using a resin heater for that myself (I am one of the original people that discovered this technique btw 😂)

After 3 years of work, I’m excited to introduce Renaissance Gears for the N64. What they are and how they perform, a 🧵.
It's FINALLY time for another N64 Renaissance drop! Mark your calendars 📆📆📆 for Friday September 11th at Noon CST!! V4 sticks, bowls, & gates will be back… plus I’ve got a surprise part joining the drop that I’m not ready to spoil just yet 👀

no major ones, I’m still working on proper gamecube support, but that is likely gonna be an additional piece to print i stead of a replacement part :) no plans to add it to another platform however, I want to keep it all in one place

wow! that’s a huge succes :D I have been experimenting with manually sanding the deep scratches by hand, and buffing up the rough areas afterwards - that actually works too if you wanna get those last ones out!

@PointerFunction Yesterday I tried using Meguiars Ultimate Compound for 30 secs. + Meguiars Ultimate Polish also 30 secs. No success. So today I tried Meguiars PlastX and Ultimate Polish. Both 1 minute, 24 v, medium speed while spraying water every 5 seconds. It worked.

Had my first go with the ezBuff tonight. It took some getting used to. But, with just Meguiar's PlastiX, I was able to get this result on an OG Xbox cd. It did not have any real big/deep scratches. The largest scratch it had is the squiggly one you can see in the top of the 2nd pic.
All done! Just gotta find some polish and a scratched up disc I'm willing to sacrifice.

Not bad, 4.5 hours from start to end. Some test fitment will be conducted and when I'm happy with the results the files will be made public. 😎

Just gotta print out the rails and we'll be done. Assembly has been very easy considering all the mating parts. This really is an excellent design by @PointerFunction! I do have some notes that I'll send since you said you're looking for feedback.
The shipment of parts has arrived for the ezBuff. I still have a few parts to print out for this, but lets start the assembly!

Looks great, and yes please! Always looking for feedback to improve - feel free to post it public too (on Printables itself perhaps?), it’s open source so we can have discussions where everyone can weigh in :D
