@BlitWorks sending this to you folks as well. On Slipstream PS5 (physical version) many of the radio songs don’t work. Clicking on them just results in silence.
@dorksince93 hey Andy! I see you wrote up the review for the Philips 20PS47S301. Did you have any s vid issues with your set? Reflowed solder on mine, replaced the two caps near composite (and wildly enough, a pad lifted as I was snipping a leg) and it’s given me several results.

I had a quick question. I assumed that AG Coarse represents something approximating a KV-27S42, but what do the different Slot masks represent? Would coarse represent something akin to a Toshiba A series?
Went through two damaged copies of Trails via Amazon before I remembered I should just buy from @VideoGamesPlus_. I don’t always buy new full priced games, but VGP is going to be my primary source if I can’t find them in store.
Quick tip for LG Oled @retrotink2 4K users: if you’re going the HDR + BFI + filter mask look, don’t forget to enable Dynamic Tone Mapping. It helps with dim screens *a lot.*
My @retrotink2 4K came in today. I wasn’t sure how much better it would look vs the 5X but the answer is… a lot, especially if you’re into crt sim. But my fave new feature is hdmi in, which allows me to throw my analogue systems and AVS at it. Major upgrade vs basic scanlines.
@retrotink2 have you heard any reports of issues getting a clear picture with a tg16 plus spark plug on the 5X? I know mine worked without issue when I first got it but years later it can’t maintain a solid image.
Tested with a rom from a 2023 dump. Still has issues. Cuts off the Sammy screen and saves are messed up. Using an snes mini with rgb mod.
Second, do you have any issues with faint hum bars in the lower left of the screen? Only really noticeable on solid colors. I talked to someone else who’s modded several and he said it’s been present on every on he’s seen but only seems to affect the 27” models.
Hey @joshfairhurst, wasn’t Hime supposed to get a digital release in browsers a couple months ago? I’m interested in the physical but I didn’t want to commit until I get a feel for the game — don’t want to spend $45 on a 1 minute trailer.
Snes 1CHIP with @Voultar’s SNESRGB board and ghosting fix running through @retrotink2’s 5X to a 55” LG Oled (HDR enabled). If you’d have asked me a couple years back, I would said Super NT all the way, but in 2022 this combo is the clear winner.
3 years after release, @specialreserves physical release of Gato Roboto is not #completeoncart. A patch, weighing in at 446MB(!) was rolled out in July that fixes a game breaking bug and was not included in this release. A $30, incomplete version of an $8 game. Lame.
It’s wild to me how good @retrotink2’s 5X makes retro games look. Very comparable to a small CRT I just picked up today. This is a stock, not 1CHIP snes, running in Tru Motion HDR on a LG E8 OlED. Forgive the glare.
