PSWSMan 3.0 is out with cross-platform Windows authentication support provided by sspi-rs, the Rust SSPI library that we develop at Devolutions! This is a major upgrade from Jordan, go try it out 💪👇
It's been a long time coming but PSWSMan v3 for #PowerShell has been released powershellgallery.com/packag…. This is a major upgrade that moves away from the C omi library to a C# WSMan stack. No more root required, better Enter-PSSession experience, and lots more features enabled.

Sweet. Trying to think what else we can add security wise. I'm thinking artifact attestation is next

I saw it has 102 commits over the original master in the source. It also has WIP commits etc.

Block direct commits to master. Each PR requires GPG signed commits + additional reviewer. If this project won't have strong security guidelines it would be really hard to make it take off as the replacement of the original project it was forked from especially recently due to the recent supply chain attacks

Hi @tigkindel was GitHub.com/tui-cs/PSTui not a recent fork? I see lots of commits directly to master before the initial fork. Also I made a PR to increase the security of the github actions. Also I recommend adding repository rules to enforce security like branch restriction

The old ogcv had issues with terminal themes like catppuchin. I was hoping the v2 of the core library will fix it. Now that it lives seperately I'll test it out and report back.

I'm not sure if there is anything I can help with let me know. My main experience is devops wise.

I feel like a proxy mechanism that scans the package at real time and verify it's hash is a probably a safer mechanism then republishing

Some of the apps I installed vis winget seems to just download from github so I'm not sure how they scan it 🤷‍♂️
