I was thinking yesterday that I hope the ladies don't apply their mean girl techniques in Alberta. Looks like they can't help themselves. Can't the the W much better than they can take the L. "Okay, now let's punish them"!

Some political movements attract stupid people at a ratio far higher than exist in the general population.
WELL, WELL, WELL. I WAS REFUSED BALLOTS TODAY AT MY POLLING STATION IN #EDMONTONWHITEMUD!! I had received mail-in ballots. I used the mail-in ballot for Question 10 bc I was certain how I would vote and was unsure if I would be able to get to the poll today so I wanted to make sure I got my vote in for #10. I did not even consider that I would not be allowed to vote on the other 9 Questions given that they were all separate ballots. My right to vote is my sacred democratic Right! After the weekend and listening to Mark Carney I decided to change my plans and make a special effort to get to the polls today to Vote on 1 to 9. Unfortunately it is impossible to resolve this problem today unless Elections Alberta steps up. They know who I am - I registered at the poll today. They can reach out to me. I hope they do. Because as of now I have been denied my right to vote.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Poster requested and used special mail-in ballots for at least Question 10. Elections Alberta marks electors as voted upon acceptance of such ballots and bars in-person voting afterward to prevent duplicates; rules do not allow splitting questions across methods. elections.ab.ca/current-electi… elections.ab.ca/current-electi… x.com/ElectionsAB/st… elections.ab.ca/resources/medi…

The American advises White flight:
If you're a young parent in France choosing between your ancestors and your children, the answer is obvious. Life is for the living. The riots may quiet down for now, but they get worse from here. The wealthy leave, the tax base shrinks, and the borders still don't hold. Shrinking economic opportunity pushes the next generations even further into radicalization, and every generation of Muslims that follows is more radical than the last. Get out now while you can.

This is Zelensky's unauthorized biography:
One of the stupidest jokes of all time. And yet, yet a stroke of genius

This is the kind of quality control that has to constantly be done. The little information warriors have to be muted, blocked or banned.
WHO FELL FOR IT? I just realized that the latest “bots silenced” fake news is a great opportunity to suss out who in the Slava Ukraini sphere are still keeping it realistic and whose brains are fully cooked by propaganda. If they bought the Yandex bots silenced narrative they are fully cooked. If they didn’t, they are still thinking. If they bought it but then corrected themselves, they’re an accountable King/queen. Fully cooked 👨‍🍳 @ZelenskyyUa @TomasZdechovsky @TimothyDSnyder @Noahpinion @AdamKinzinger @LauraLoomer @PKurzin @PhillipsPOBrien @leftsidehist @IAPonomarenko @The_Davos_Man @BohuslavskaKate @JayinKyiv @supertanskiii @FranckenTheo Still thinking ok🧠 @leonidvolkov @ichbinilya @slantchev @P_Kallioniemi @exseveritate @antibot4navalny @AndrewPerpetua @woke8yearold @VStetka Accountable Kings 👑 @wolski_jaros @mfphhh

This phony data was used by every regime loyalist, from Finland to Alberta, to prove their political enemies are just Russian bots. Most pathetic are the little rodents on social media who played along and amplified the lie.

I couldn't care less about this Czech (?) politician but he kicked off something interesting. We saw today how many people grab a lie and amplify it or believe any lie that helps their side. There's so much trash on this site. I see why they want to replace you all with AI.
This guy just completely destroyed his credibility and will be forever remembered for posting AI slop in what was one of the worst attempts at infowar in living memory. RIP Tomas. 🤡🪦

Social media handed the public the tools once reserved for big media companies. It turns out the people lie shamelessly; worse than any tabloid journalist.
This post kinda does show how truth is dead and how both political sides will jump on any ‘evidence’ to back a preconceived belief

I'm going to have a look at the accounts I follow here. Any of them playing along with the latest Russian bot narrative will be culled from my feed. Spreading that story means you're either stupid or a spreader of disinformation.

Okay, so as of this morning Zelensky still has the support of the most shameless Brit around, and that's *really* saying something. Piers Morgan isn't a man, he's more like a test strip. This morning Zelensky peed on the test strip and it turned pink, which is good for him.
Met, and interviewed, a lot of world leaders in my time. Few have impressed me more than President Zelensky. He’s a man of great courage, resilience, and determination, and deserves the support of everyone who cares about defying dictators. @ZelenskyyUa

We can like it or lump it but Bill Barr called it in 2023:
Replying to @avidseries
Bill Barr saw this many years ago. "If you believe in [Trump's] policies, he's the last person who can execute and achieve them. He does not have the discipline. He does not have the ability for strategic or linear thinking."

To me this means he's an unreliable source of information. He's going to lie to help out his side.
I want the good guys to win, even when they’re wrong. And I went the bad guys to lose, even when they’re right.

This map is interesting. No French / English or even rich / poor divide, it's just downtown vs. suburbs vs. exurbs.
Here's my current Ottawa mayoral election prediction:

This is why it's stupid to apply the Anglo-American left/right spectrum to understand Quebec's election:
Parti Quebecois Leader Paul St-Pierre Plamondon goes off on mass immigration: "That Century Initiative is wrong. It's based on the very stupid assumption that growing the GDP makes you richer"

And he knew what he was talking about, he went to university in Massachusetts. He knew the Yankees are a domineering people, sure of themselves.
“It is important for us to remain independent of the American people, independent of their ways and their influence which will be fatal to our prosperity and national identity.” ~Henri Bourassa, French-Canadian Nationalist, 1911

If something does not compute then it's time to recalibrate one's mind. that's what makes politics so much fun.
How the Montreal “Free Palestine” people don’t vote for the separatist party does not compute.

The "xenophobic" social democrats won last night. As Parizeau would say "that's precisely my cup of tea, old boy". "Starting today, tomorrow belongs to us. [...] We need a real government. The Quebec Party, the party of Quebecers". youtube.com/watch?v=7WWaYZVQ…

How did this one get by me the first time? I guess he was saying so much back then it was hard to keep up.
