@ericfisher @jreineron7 @PeteNBCBoston The foliage is no joke in the White Mountains this year. Even in full sun it is stunning! All unedited pics here, the best I’ve seen in 10-15 years.

If it were snow... ...it likely would have clobbered the South Shore.

@PeteNBCBoston 10 days straight with a high below normal (tomorrow will be 11) in Boston. And only the 10th day in September with a high below 60 in the last 24 years (first in 6 years). ENOUGH!!!

It's has been a weird nor'easter. Slow start, pockets of strong wind at the coast, and now flooding rain in spots, & still gusty. Heaviest rain is inbound to Greater Boston tonight & tomorrow. Flooding will be a concern as the storm meanders off NJ into Monday.

The much talked about nor'easter is now well underway, with a large cyclone producing widespread rain and significant coastal flooding slowly making its way north. Slightly technical thread discussing its structure and forecast: 🧵

Odds increasing for a significant dose of rain and high winds (focused along the coast/Capes/Islands) from the nor'easter this weekend. This far out, we play the probability card. Shown are probabilities of total rainfall (2+ & 4+) and winds 55+

Laughable amounts of rain today. That may change later this week as an early season nor'easter threatens (Fri/Sat).
