Markus Muller, comments on here today and some of it was real nasty with an undertone of racism.
Saturday he had 3x turnovers playing in a 12x jersey. His GPS reading was of the charts. His work rate especially of the ball is special.
(Can you think of another 12 that is excellent over the ball at the breakdowns?)
We here on X only see a player with the ball or if he is in the camera shot - we never see the wider shots or the players GPS readings. I always wish to have the helicopter/drone view of the play. I can understand why coaches don't want to release these data, they keeping the good stuff close to their chess for various reasons.
Now Riley Norton, Vusi Moyo, Markus Muller, Yaqeen Ahmed, Zekhethelo Siyaya, Phiwayinkosi Kubheka, Siphosethu Mnebelele, Luan Giliomee, Danie Kruger, Lamla Mgedezi, Lwandile Mlaba, etc etc etc is in the Elite Player Development System, even as long ago as when they were u16. This system is one of the reasons why we are consecutive u20 World Champions and we are not going to give up that title easily.
The way Erasmus brings the young players through the ranks and making them Senior Springboks are already clear to see. So the pathway is already clear now for these youngsters. Erasmus 1st debutant of these new generation of players was Vusi Moyo who already played his 1st senior test for the Springboks. Riley Norton played as a senior Springbok in a non-test vs the Barbarians. I am expecting that at least one of these players with Riley Norton will make their debuts next weekend versus Italy, my guess is Luan Giliomee, it is just my guess based on his skillset and I am watching Erasmus selecting teams since 2018 and I still can be completely wrong. I have no inside knowledge of selections.
We just need to be patient with all these very special players and the race baiting comments are not needed, it is not helping anyone and it is just a reflection of yourself and the people that raised you and not of anyone else.
Today was again one of those disappointing days on here. Let us do better.

As unpalatable as I find the people of Cape Town, spending a week here has really given me a lot of sobriety around the situation in JHB.
Taking a simple drive home from dinner this evening - all the streets illuminated by streetlights. Yet to see a traffic light that doesn’t work. Pristine roads and clear markings. Sidewalks. Verges and cut grass.
It really makes you quite hopeless about the future of JHB. Infrastructure-wise it’s least 20 years behind CT (assuming CT stays still and JHB rapidly improves - both of which won’t happen).
It’s difficult to be unemotional about this stuff - but I really don’t see what JHB’s value proposition is now. As a parent, would you dare allow your daughter to drive around JHB at night? Absolutely not.

In a highly dangerous and complex operation, he secured an euthanised crocodile with a rope under extremely perilous conditions. The crocodile was safely lifted and moved, allowing police and forensic experts to recover the remains of a suspected missing person.
Human body parts were found in the crocodile’s intestines and they were taken for DNA analysis to confirm the identity of the deceased.
