Got to test our @swellpro_drone for wetland sampling at the @MBBeefandForage farm a couple of weeks ago. Guess I don’t need to fumble my way around in waders anymore.

Love this! Bryan was one of the best guys to deal with and it was so unfortunate how his career ended. He never looked for the limelight but deserves to see and hear how much he was appreciated by everyone in this market.
Bryan Little will sign a one-day contract with the team to officially retire from the NHL as a member of the Winnipeg Jets. Join us in honouring Litts at the game on Sunday, Oct. 20th. DETAILS ▶️ wpgjets.co/BL-Celebrate TICKETS ▶️ wpgjets.co/BL-OCT20

We can’t show this often enough, until finally people understand. And act.
Each of the past 12 months was over 1.5C above pre-industrial levels, inching us closer towards breaking the Paris agreement The blocks in the heat map show the temperature anomaly for each month since 1970 Where they are black, the month breached 1.5C

Non-native species have inherent risks owing to potential evolutionary mismatches. They're far more likely than natives to cause extinctions. Even apparently benign populations can become invasive when triggered by stressors. More nonnative spp = greater risk of these outcomes.
Nuance is important in how we treat non-native species Claiming we should simply accept them ignores that some are very environmentally damaging But, equally, assuming all are intrinsically harmful is simplistic

Restoration efforts that re-establish native plant species before the emergence of invasive alien species will increase biotic resistance to invasions by alien plants (and possibly a suite of alien insects that could be facilitated by their presence). nature.com/articles/s42003-0…

#WorldWetlandsDay is on February 2—and we're celebrating the many ways wetlands and nature make life better for everyone by sharing your stories on how #WeAllNeedWetlands. Here is what Doris from QC had to say. Thank you for sharing your story and being an advocate for wetlands!
