Reposting from @C20Cymru these photos by Jonathan Vining of the astonishing Argoed High School, by Clwyd county architect, K J Denley (1977-81) - a Welsh country cousin of Pimlico.
Inevitably currently unlisted and at risk.

Architect and landscape designer Peter Aldington was born on this day in 1933. After working for the LCC, he went into private practice, desiging many houses, including his own, Turn End in Haddenham, Bucks, where he still lives with his wife, Margaret modernism-in-metroland.co.uk…

There's a simple way to make our cities greener – without a wrecking ball. These arguments apply to the post-war designed landscapes too. theguardian.com/commentisfre…

Lucky escape- American modernism saved. I know it’s nothing new & that leaders the world over have done it before-but it doesn’t seem right that one president can dictate public architectural & artistic output. Strange notion of freedom & democracy.

These tiny unusable spaces will be resultant 'landscape' @HomesForLambeth @OurCentralHill Hardly conducive to post-covid19 green recovery. Rosemary Stjernstedt knew what she was doing. That skill, heritage, architectural & green legacy should be respected.

Compare what we have with what is proposed - from @googlemaps vs @HomesForLambeth fly-over. Unacceptable loss of green space. Post-covid19 recovery must be green led.

Hot on my last tweet re demise of SylviaCrow work - are female designers being intentionally written out of our built heritage? Truslove might be much smaller than Stjernstedt's work at Alton Estate but clearly setting Truslove in a landscape setting was equally NB 2her here.
