Erm.
Very kind to promote me to the role of director. Less kind to advance my age by a couple of decades. Child library prodigy?
‘I know the work you do…’ 👀
The Beatles: Special 60th reissue of A Hard Day’s Night on vinyl set to be released!
Me: Amazing! Does that mean we’ll get to hear the album remixed like all the other editions so far?
The Beatles: Erm, no. But it’ll be on limited edition white vinyl.
Me: No thanks.
Low-key demure start to my first term of teaching @unibirmingham
As teaching spaces go, not sure there many others on campus with views like this.
🚨 Still very odd to see my old post @UniRdg_SpecColl being advertised. Now with new role title. 🚨
Could you be our next Collections Officer (Student Engagement)?
If you have a passion for engaging students with archive and rare book collections, take a look at this role:

Starting the process of building my slides for the semester ahead @unibirmingham
Tiny bit excited.
Different branding. Same old me.
A rather strange moment seeing my old job being advertised @UniRdg_SpecColl @TheMERL but here’s your chance ⭐️

First pay day treat of the new job.
Well, a day early.
Loren Kramer’s new disc. First album I’ve bought off the strength of one song in a long time.
‘Gay Angels’ is fast becoming my song of the year. Go listen!
Week One ☑️ @UoBLibServices
Couldn’t have asked for a warmer reception from the team ☺️
As I embark on my new adventure @unibirmingham, it’s a joy to be reminded of one of my favourite collabs with @CLWooldridge at @TheMERL & @UniRdg_SpecColl
This #MuseumWeek, take a look at some of the treasures in @TheMERL and @UniRdg_SpecColl's store. 📚
From correspondence between Mills and Boon, to Dickens' Little Dorrit in its original form, this video shows what's #BehindTheScenesMW. 🎥

And so the time has come to bid a fond farewell to @TheMERL and @UniRdg_SpecColl after 9 years and 2 months @UniofReading
It has been a wild ride. From knowing no one when I walked through the doors on 16 Feb 2015, to being surrounded by treasured colleagues & lifelong friends.
I came as Reading Room Supervisor. I leave as Widening Participation Projects Officer and Collections Academic Liaison Officer.
And all of these folks are heroes!
But I am thrilled and excited to be joining the team @unibirmingham as Academic Skills Advisor in June.
A whole new adventure awaits on another campus...
