ALT Your State Senator Find your senator’s contact information Hello Senator__________ My name is ____ and I live ____. I am calling you today to ask you to vote NO on House Bill 8. HB 8 is extremely dangerous for our LGBTQ+ youth and could increase suicide rates and youth homelessness. I also have concerns about the RTRI language that was added to this bill, especially about student safety. Please vote NO on house bill 8. Thank you for your consideration. My call back number is _______.

ALT House Speaker Jason Stephens (614) 466-1366 Hello Speaker Stephens, My name is ____ and I live ____. I am calling you today to ask for you to NOT bring House Bill 8 to the House Floor for a concurrence vote. HB 8 is no longer a clean bill and includes language to mandate RTRI programs in local districts. This language is really concerning and does not address student safety concerns that have been raised by hundreds of Ohioans across the state. Please keep HB 8 from the House Floor. Thank you for your consideration. My call back number is _______.

ALT Your State Representative Find your representative’s contact information Hello Representative ___________ My name is ____ and I live ____. I am calling you today to ask you to vote NO on House Bill 8 concurrence. Very controversial RTRI language was added to this bill, and if passed, would lead to many issues and dangerous situations for students and school districts. Senators snuck in this unpopular language that is being pushed by one single Christian group, LifeWise Academy. Mandating RTRI is also completely unnecessary, as school districts are able to adopt RTRI policies under current Ohio law. Several school districts in Ohio have rescinded their RTRI policies because of issues LifeWise has caused at their schools and concerns about their students’ safety. Please vote NO on HB 8 concurrence. Thank you for your consideration. My call back number is _______.
