Our meta-analysis of #HCV in #PrEP users now available open access in @OFIDJournal. We found lower HCV incidence in contexts where HCV #DAAs have been implemented at-scale - indicative of HCV treatment as prevention among gay and bisexual men.

Many states have done a good job of reducing barriers to Hep C treatment; yet only 20% treated within 6 months; 35% overall. Providers must ensure newly + get treated. Why don’t they?
2 states still require Medicaid enrollees to have liver scarring before they can be cured of Hepatitis C. Akin to requiring cancer to metastasize before allowing surgery
