Over the past three seasons per AllThreeZones, Draisaitl ranks first among current Oiler forwards in controlled zone exits per 60. Second place belongs to Mathieu Joseph.

2 Games in to an 84 game season with 4 Top 8 forwards hurt, After watching this team struggle out of the gate with goaltending, injuries, and issues every season, And watching strong early season performers go quiet in the playoffs, My attitude right now:

I get jump all over the Oilers is the thing to do but I can't. They've scored 14 goals in 2 games, have had 2 poor performances from their goalies, are learning a new system & let's not forget what lines 2 thru 4 were on Thursday night. For me, there's been more good than bad.

This is an amazing answer by @bryceharper3. Lot of perspective for parents and young athletes.

While I do believe the Oilers can help themselves with better work off the puck, they were 13th in xGA and Carolina was just 8th. Their sv pct was dead last. People don't like blaming the goalies but their biggest problem was in net

Happy birthday to Elvin Jones, born on this day in 1927! A powerful and deeply expressive drummer, he brought incredible energy and freedom to jazz, most famously with John Coltrane’s legendary quartet.

Ciao Franco. Riposa in pace.

At this point, taking time to trade Nurse works, because once the dust settles on Carlson, Werenski, Nikishin, maybe Rielly, then Nurse will be the only option left for a desperate GM
