The first @PhilaUnion goal against @ColumbusCrew back on May 10, from the free kick? I have it as 8 inches offside. Honestly, a _lot_ closer than I expected. Still feel like VAR could have intervened but this info makes it look less obvious than I originally thought.
The offside in El Traffico? That took @LAGalaxy's Gabriel Pec's goal off the board? I have it as 9-10 inches offside. That's with a relatively conservative guess on position of the 2LD, so could be more.
That @NashvilleSC goal line situation? I have it as 3/8" inside the goal. Given the difficulties of the model and esp. goal-line situations, I can't be sure that it was or was not a goal.
OK, so that St. Louis goal against Columbus called back? I have it as 6 inches onside.
I will say that it's harder than it looks b/c 2LD here has his foot off the ground so it isn't as easy as just following the lines in the grass.
As for the previous @OrlandoCitySC and @CharlotteFC offside incident, I have Lodeiro onside by about 2 inches. V close but probably should have counted.
Was Agyemang onside in the @MLS playoff game between @OrlandoCitySC and @CharlotteFC? I have him offside by about 3 feet.
So that @LAFC goal in the @usopencup final? I have Bogusz being offside by about a foot.

For an offense must do one of 3 things after being in an offside position when teammate last touched it
* interfering w/ play
* " " an opponent
* gaining an advantage
Those are more complicated, but the players in offside position here did not reach the level an offense.
Here's the YouTube video I got it from, it gives you some insight into how the decision was made. I have some qualms, but in the end it's probably that 3 inches isn't enough to overturn the goal anyway. youtube.com/watch?v=bNFSi_NK…
Hey, so in the below tweet I reference how their lines were not parallel to the 18 and 6. Turns out that they utilize software which auto-calibrates and that calibration is far from perfect. The best points to use are the outer corners. xitter.cf/OffsideModeling/status…

I keep on forgetting to distinguish the vertical lines. First, this was the wrong frame, but 2nd, here is what looks like with the vertical lines selected to show which are which lines
OK, using their frame, I have it as 3 inches offside, so not quite as much.
Probably more concerning is that their line is not parallel to the 18 and the 6 yard lines
Um, yea, I have that Uruguay goal as being close to 1 foot offside. #CopaAmerica #USMNT

Hey all, so that goal for #ForTheCrown (@CharlotteFC) vs #WeAreTheA (@ATLUTD) - I have to say I am surprised to report the ball is modeled as in-play by almost 2 inches. I really thought it was in the goal when I first saw it.

I would think that this would apply here (highlighted in blue)
