The first @PhilaUnion goal against @ColumbusCrew back on May 10, from the free kick? I have it as 8 inches offside. Honestly, a _lot_ closer than I expected. Still feel like VAR could have intervened but this info makes it look less obvious than I originally thought.
The offside in El Traffico? That took @LAGalaxy's Gabriel Pec's goal off the board? I have it as 9-10 inches offside. That's with a relatively conservative guess on position of the 2LD, so could be more.
That @NashvilleSC goal line situation? I have it as 3/8" inside the goal. Given the difficulties of the model and esp. goal-line situations, I can't be sure that it was or was not a goal.
OK, so that St. Louis goal against Columbus called back? I have it as 6 inches onside.
I will say that it's harder than it looks b/c 2LD here has his foot off the ground so it isn't as easy as just following the lines in the grass.

Was Agyemang onside in the @MLS playoff game between @OrlandoCitySC and @CharlotteFC? I have him offside by about 3 feet.

Anyone saying "SKC should have won in regular time" doesn't understand how game states work. Is it possible they would have? Sure. But it isn't so clear cut that they should have won 1-0.

Hey, so in the below tweet I reference how their lines were not parallel to the 18 and 6. Turns out that they utilize software which auto-calibrates and that calibration is far from perfect. The best points to use are the outer corners. xitter.cf/OffsideModeling/status…
That said, I would love to see the software enhanced to do a better job on this. Theoretically the VAR could manually adjust them but it actually probably isn't worth the effort and people already get angry how long checks take so... yea

Hey, guys, I may not be using the right frame here. Mistakenly took the one from the broadcast as the right frame but it might be earlier.
