We made it to the cover 🤩 !
Our August cover image shows the localization of the WAVE complex (solid colors) and cell edge (dotted lines) of a migrating neutrophil-like HL-60 cell over time. From Pipathsouk, @OWeinerLab et al. (bit.ly/3v117Sq).

Hello everyone, excited to share our preprint: biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…

Everyday, cells like this crawl through your body to protect you. While we know that their front 🔴 and back 🔵 polarity programs work together, how exactly do these two processes communicate? Lets chat!
✨Check out the lab's latest bioRxiv ✨
We explore how cells use long-range mechanochemical feedback to establish and maintain polarity during cell migration!

Check out Muziyue’s incredible thesis work ➡️ “The WAVE complex forms linear arrays at negative membrane curvature to instruct lamellipodia formation”
Super excited to share my thesis work!
doi:biorxiv.org/content/10.1101/…
We found how cells manage to build the extremely flat and thin membrane protrusions with the WAVE complex, that organizes into a linear polymer-like structure at the tips of lamellipodia.

We @SXS_biophysics wrote an insight article on the brilliant work by @tlngy, @strickland_ev, and @OWeinerLab! Combining a classical Percoll assay with CRISPR screening, they reveal how neutrophils use water to migrate and the involvement of PI3K and NHE1. Check it out!
An influx of water molecules can help immune cells called neutrophils to move to where they are needed in the body. elifesciences.org/articles/1…

Excited to share our paper on YAP dynamics and cell fate control! We reveal a concentration-dependent and temporal communication code for YAP that enables cells to choose between different downstream programs. Check it out!
