Whistleblowers at Queen's Park are saying that if Brad Bradford wins, he 100% wants to help @fordnation open and build the casino on the waterfront. The plans are still very much alive. Behind the scenes. #onpoli #cdnpoli

Four brothers went to war against Hitler. Three died. The fourth survived, and his grandson, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, is the president of Ukraine. Zelenskyy comes from a family that fought tyrants: Trump negotiates with them while demanding concessions from their victims.

In Toronto, more people are killed and injured by vehicles than from violent crimes. Anyone who claims to be a champion of safety, but who isn't advocating for safer roads, is just fear mongering or dog whistling.

I get raising taxes is never going to be good come an election, but Chow's increases were literally just to balance the flaming budget Tory left while restarting basic maintenance we'd neglected for 13 yrs. These ppl act like Chow spent $1 billion on gay dog weddings or something

One candidate raised our property tax 19.8%. One candidate created Luxury Home Municipal Land Transfer Tax, sliding-scale tax rate starting at 4.4% and reaching up to 8.6%. One candidate raised water and garbage pickup rates by 3.75%. One candidate even threatened us with “rain tax”. But hey! Who knows what candidate I am even referring to at this point, right? It could be anyone really!

If you Brad voters condone his flip flopping on issues, doesn’t get along with his staff/voters, complains more than solving problems, neglects his ward and is going to break campaign promises then continue to support Brad. This is what is going to happen as mayor.

If the first Toronto mayor to seriously fix the city's finances is also the first incumbent to lose reelection, this city will be doomed to austerity and crumbling infrastructure for decades.

#BurnFatNotFuel 🚴🇨🇦 Dear Premier Ford, @fordnation I know that, like many gentlemen our age, maintaining a healthy weight and good cardiovascular health becomes increasingly important as we get older. So may I suggest you leave our bicycle lanes in place and try using one? Cycling to work has enormous benefits: - For our health: Burns calories, strengthens our hearts, improves mental health and reduces the risk of chronic disease. - For our wallets: Saves money on gasoline, parking and vehicle maintenance. - For our communities: Reduces traffic congestion, air pollution, greenhouse gas emissions and noise. - For taxpayers: Reduces road wear and can lower long-term healthcare costs. - For our cities: Makes streets more welcoming, supports local businesses and gives people more transportation choices. I'm a senior citizen myself, and I'd be delighted to ride to work with you. I'm very familiar with the route! Warm regards, Glen Murray #BurnFatNotFuel #BikeToWork #ActiveTransportation #HealthyCities #Ontario @fordnation

Why does John Tory take absolutely no shit for presiding over the period of Toronto's most-rapid decline? And why are so many people so convinced that electing his council lacky is going to improve the situation?

So the reason why it’s not good to support anarchic violence is because it typically doesn’t stop precisely where you like it. You can’t wink at people burning a city down or think it’s based and then cry foul if other people do violence to the rioters
This is worse than looting by a huge amount

For fuck’s sake. The looters in Paris aren’t starving.
You see, the greatest French writer in history, Victor Hugo wrote an entire novel about how looting to feed yourself and your family is not a crime or personal failing, but a fundamental flaw of a corrupt system that gives you no other choice

There are valid critiques of Olivia chow - I’ve made them myself ! But Brad Bradford would be a complete disaster for this city, conservatives would run every single part of the lives of Toronto residents
