Here in the Big Bend, locals have been complaining to Texas regulators about border wall "man camps."
But a @MarfaRadio investigation found the Trump admin's waiver of federal laws has hindered the state's own response to the complaints. From @mkcant: marfapublicradio.org/news/20…

I was recently on @cnni with @IsaCNN talking about the Latino vote in Texas
Current polling shows that @GinaHinojosaTX & @jamestalarico are leading with Latino voters
Remember, Latino voters are not a monolith & this community needs investment from both parties to build trust

For months, the City of San Antonio has requested information regarding ICE’s intentions to utilize an Eastside facility as an ICE processing center.
September 30, 2026, was the deadline for the latest inquiry, and the City of San Antonio did not receive a response.
Therefore, I support legal action to halt all activities related to renovating the Eastside facility into a 1,500-person ICE processing center. The City Attorney is reviewing options in that vein and will provide an update when appropriate.
The people of San Antonio deserve transparency from their federal leaders on this issue, and I remain committed to achieving that.

It’s National Black Dog Day!🖤🐾 Today, we’re celebrating pups who are waiting for someone to see how special they are. While black-coated dogs often spend longer waiting for homes in some shelters, every pup deserves to be seen for the unique personality, love, & joy they offer.
