We have a new paper out thanks to @ChemicalBiology where we show that adding short fattty-acids to the anomeric position of monosaccharide reporters (“MCRs”) allows them to enter cells but avoids unwanted chemical reactions with cysteine. pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021….
