Alleluia! Christ is risen! A highlight of today @HTSM_Guildford has been the extraordinary ministry of our choral foundation - today, over 60 singers across two services, giving us Dyson, Wesley, L'Estrange, Mawby, Goodall... it is an enormous honour to minister alongside them.
A joy to welcome our new rector, Simon Butler, to Holy Trinity last night. I was so proud to show off the choir of 70+, singing some beautiful MacMillan and Bairstow, in addition to soaring descants like this.
A few days on, what a joy to celebrate Christmas at Holy Trinity, Guildford. The choirs are a shining light for what great Church music can be - over 40 young people singing amazing music (@_yshani, Lauridsen, Mathias, June Nixon, Rutter and more) to full churches. What a place!

A wonderful weekend @bathabbey with Coro42. I am lucky to have such skilled friends - a great joy to sing in such a beautiful building.

A sad, but special day today @HTSM_Guildford as we said goodbye to our beloved rector, Robert Cotton. It was wonderful to have 76 singers, 12 instrumentalists, @Will_Todd_Music and more for special music, including the first performance of my piece, 'Clothe yourselves with love'
Fantastic to hear @dgillthorpe's Jazz Missa Brevis and @K8yCoo's Pange Lingua on the @BBCRadio4 Ascension Service yesterday. Both brilliant pieces published by @singforpleasure. Exciting to know my 'O Salutaris' is in the same book too - who knows who may have played it through!

What a fantastic #WomenComposerSunday at @HTSM_Guildford. I'm so proud that, for the first time, all the choral and organ music was by women, alongside all-women soloists in our responsorial psalm, a great IWD sermon by @bcahillnicholls and the induction of 4 new girl choristers!
What a wonderful weekend directing @singforpleasure’s London course at @FHSSloaneSquare. I love teaching on these courses and seeing the conductors make such amazing progress. Thanks to all the team, esp. the foundation tutors @LouiseSoprano @musicalmark @RuthFEvans @shivanimezzo
It is not easy to be in the @churchofengland at the moment, but priests like @bcahillnicholls certainly provide hope for the future. And another Sunday at @HTSM_Guildford with an equal split between male and female composers, with more @seam100, @JoForbesLE to come next month!
