Tonight @AntiRacismDay activists, local residents and Cllrs @RKDasgupta @grayee, @BelgicaGuana @CllrShaban @Anim121 stood together to strongly oppose the proposed Home Office immigration detention centre at Warehouse K. We say no to the #hostileenvironment in #Newham!
Cllr @grayee the deputy mayor for Newham gave a brilliant speech promising to to fight the development. Gave solidarity greetings from the Mayor and councillors. Spoke of the building’s heritage. No place for hate in this borough.
Local councillor @RKDasgupta spoke about his opposition to the detention centre and vowed to fight against it with local community and council support
We encourage everyone to sign this petition.
