Let’s put this into perspective, however impossible that may be: we’re in a war we can’t get out of, people are struggling to put gas in their tanks and food on their tables, farmers are going under, all due to his immense incompetence, and he, the President of the United States, while campaigning for another politician, is bragging about knowing the difference between a legless reptile and a sixteen-motherfucking-foot tall mammal. AND PEOPLE ARE CHEERING!
How BATSHIT! FUCKING CRAZY! does this man need to get before these people realize he’s a blazing imbecile?

Yesterday Zuckerberg tried to squelch the voice of the people. He failed. More than seven million people came together for No Kings.
Now we need to ensure that Trump, Musk, Zuckerberg, and other powerful authoritarians inside and outside the government, fail again on November 3.

My 80-year-old neighbour ran out of her blood pressure medication three days ago because she couldn't outsmart an AI voice tree.
She called the pharmacy:
“Press 1 if you have the app. Press 2 to receive a text link. Say 'Refill' to speak to the digital assistant.”
She kept repeating, “I just need my pills, dear.”
The automated system told her: “I didn't understand that response,” looped three times, and hung up on her.
She didn't want to bother her kids at work, so she just started cutting her remaining pills in halves, then in quarters, trying to stretch them. When I checked on her this morning, her blood pressure was 195/110 and she was so dizzy she couldn't stand.
I drove down to the store, stood at the counter, and had the refill in four minutes.
The pharmacist told me: “Corporate cut our phone staff last year to push customers toward the mobile app.”
If a senior citizen has to risk a stroke because your board of directors wanted to trim payroll with an automated phone loop, your business model is predatory. Full stop.

Disruptions to critical U.S. satellite systems left Ukrainians vulnerable to Russian attacks.
Orders to limit Starshield came from the White House according to reports, and the President needs to explain why.
Trump is shamefully abandoning our allies to cozy up to dictators like Putin.

Here’s what @elonmusk and others keep missing: Russia can end this war by stopping its invasion. Ukraine can’t end it by surrendering without losing its freedom.
Telling Ukrainians to stop defending themselves because fighting costs lives rewards the country killing them.
If your “solution” demands courage from the invaded and nothing from the invader, that’s peak weakness. And you need to stop pretending to be some alpha
Elon Musk becomes deeply moved, and deadly serious, when Bret Baier asks him why he called Sen. Mark Kelly a "Traitor" for pushing to send more US aid and weapons to Ukraine.
Watch every second of his response.
"We should have empathy for the thousands of people dying everyday in the trenches. For no movement in the lines. For the past two years thousands of people have died every week for nothing."
"I take great offense at those who put the appearance of goodness over the reality of it. Those who virtue signal and say we can't give into Russia, but have no solution to stopping thousands of kids dying every day."
"I have contempt for such people and I want to make that clear. Because they're virtue signaling and their lack of a solution means that kids don't have a father. It means parents lost a son. For what? Nothing."

Watching a bunch of white people who hate gay people being programmed to dance to a song sung by 6 gays guys while supporting a man who pardoned pedophiles and cheated on his wife is something else. Stuck on stupid is alive and well in America.

In a classified briefing, a DoD official revealed to Senators how much Iranian attacks on U.S. bases have cost us.
Now, I'm calling for the DoD to make that number public.
Americans deserve to know how much of their money is being burned on Trump's war with Iran.

.@SenatorLankford, the American people provided billions to help Ukraine during the Biden administration; Trump cut that assistance to zero (against the will of the American people). Now, we just sell weapons to Ukraine via Europeans -- i.e., we are making money off of this war. We provide no economic assistance. You know all of this.
I have admired your personal support for Ukraine. I found this interview disappointing.

For more than a year, President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, has acted as one of the nation’s top diplomats, without undergoing Senate confirmation or filing a single financial disclosure.
If you’re asking how that’s legal, it’s not. We sued. ms.now/opinion/jared-kushner…

Another Russian ballistic missile attack came in several waves overnight, and once again, there was no early warning from our partners. They again targeted energy facilities and infrastructure, but a medical clinic, a school, a metro station, and ordinary residential buildings were also damaged. In total, the Russians launched 16 ballistic missiles in a deliberate attack on Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The Russians also launched more than 200 drones of various types, including jet-powered “shaheds,” with attacks spanning from the Kharkiv and Dnipro regions to the Volyn, Rivne, and Odesa regions. Sadly, there are casualties. My condolences to their families and loved ones. Those who were injured are receiving assistance. Overnight and this morning, Russia attacked energy facilities in the Vinnytsia, Volyn, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Ternopil, Odesa, and Rivne regions. In this one night alone, more than 10 energy infrastructure facilities were damaged, and the lights went out for at least 550,000 families. Repair crews are working at the sites.
Ukraine never wanted this war, and we have welcomed literally EVERY attempt by our partners to bring this war to a dignified end. We have responded positively to EVERY ceasefire proposal. Russia's response, time and again, has been ballistic missiles, “shaheds,” and killings. Putin not only doesn't want to end this war – he doesn't even want to take any steps toward de-escalation. EVERY ONE of our partners has experienced this firsthand when they heard Russia's refusals. And it is crucial to call things what they are. To call the aggressor an aggressor and help Ukraine defend lives. When deliveries of missiles for Ukraine's air defense are blocked while Russia is granted relief or delays in sanctions, this is, unfortunately, a denial of reality on the part of our partners. The reality is that the war continues, and it continues solely because of Russian strikes and Russia's desire to drag this war out. I thank everyone who recognizes this reality and helps Ukraine!

He needs sugar that works quickly. That's why B, fruit juice, is the best choice here.
At 50 mg/dL, low glucose can affect brain function and progress to confusion, seizures or unconsciousness.
Chocolate, milk and bread can raise glucose too, but are less suitable for a rapid rescue. Fat can slow sugar absorption, and bread needs digesting.
Give juice containing about 15 g of carbohydrate; check the label. Recheck glucose after 15 minutes and repeat if still below 70 mg/dL. Once recovered, have a snack with carbs and protein if the next meal is a while away.
This is for someone alert and able to swallow safely. If not, give nothing by mouth, use prescribed rescue glucagon if available and call emergency services.
These lows are especially common with insulin and some diabetes tablets.
And if no juice then glucose tablets or sugar dissolved in water also work. Don't delay treatment searching for juice.
