Vandaag sprak ik met @ignaziocassis, zowel de Zwitserse minister van Buitenlandse Zaken als @OSCE-voorzitter. Nederland waardeert het langlopende partnerschap met Zwitserland en de OVSE rondom veiligheid en stabiliteit in de regio. Ik kijk uit naar verdere samenwerking.
Nederland blijft zich inzetten voor accountability voor Russische oorlogsmisdrijven. Vandaag is Nederland één van de 41 landen die met het Moskou Mechanisme bij de OVSE een onafhankelijk rapport opvragen over de indoctrinatie en militarisering van Oekraïense kinderen door Rusland
The Netherlands remains committed to ensuring accountability for Russian war crimes. Today, the Netherlands is one of 41 countries that, through the Moscow Mechanism at the OSCE, request an independent report on Russia’s indoctrination and militarisation of Ukrainian children.

At the request of the Netherlands and 40 other OSCE countries, an investigation was conducted into the torture and ill-treatment of Ukrainian prisoners of war by Russia through the ‘Moscow Mechanism’. The report speaks of widespread and systematic violations of int. law. 1/2

At this week’s opening of #WarsawHDC 🇳🇱 NL stated:
· The deep concern about Russia’s deliberate practice of deportation of Ukrainian children and the number of civilians arbitrarily detained.
· The call for the immediate release of all political prisoners in Belarus and Russia.
