Look at the rigor it takes to get money to invest in something worthwhile. An Innovation to solve real life problems. It may not have been perfect but a young person is attempting something big and the money is not thrown at him even though they see potential. On the flip side in the same Nigeria, some youths are kept in a room for 30-90 days to shake bum bum and fornicate (they call Big Sibling or whatever) and by some funny metrics a winner is decided and then, given 150m as the prize for adding no value at all. Others are gifted for being a nuisance online. The lions show should be where actual celebrities should emerge from if we want a society with a better quality of life. All of you that patronise those mundane shows and flimsy broadcasts are also part of the reason for the declining quality of our society. All the Best to our bold brother Daniel. Wishing your business the best.—Daniel Chimankpam

"i gave" "I empowered" TO WHOOOOO, WHO YOU EMPOWER??? WHAT ARE THEY DOING NOW?? While watching, I've laughed, reminisced and sighed... I'll only say, from personal experience, the people doing the real charitable works often have no time or memory for the camera. And that’s a problem that needs to be fixed. You can’t blame philanthropists for giving money to the wrong causes when you are doing the right work and don’t put yourself out there. How are they supposed to find you? There’s a grant pandemic where people are no longer building businesses but chasing grants. And guess what? Grant givers don’t look at genuine businesses because the founders are not speaking their language. I write NGO grants and have worked for a couple of NGO’s. Charity is a surface thing in Nigeria and it’s clearly a profit making venture. Most don’t actually help the poor. Peter Pizarro: Same Makoko she mentioned is used by some NGO in their pitch deck presentation. They just send this media guys there to get them authentic pictures and videos. They don’t even understand the actual extent of the problem. They just want data and statistics that will draw empathy. They also use communal water project, IDP camps in various state especially benue, the north and any vices concerning women welfare and crisis. It’s a scam industry to a large extent. Only few NGO invest 70 percent of the donation received from grants. Plus, it’s a money laundering industry, image making device and used to hide businesses in other not to pay tax. In this same breath, this is why a certain politician in Nigeria thinks his people should thank him for building flyovers and schools with public fund btw, some even brand the school or building in their name. Nigerian politicians are the luckiest breeds of individuals. Meanwhile they built it because of how they want people to see them and for other personal interest (awarding contracts to themselves indirectly, collecting 30% of million dollars projects etc) They’re so lucky, the craziest thing is that they will still have supporters no matter the atrocity they commit. The problem is that the ignorant ones are far more in numbers than the enlightened ones. And it probably will always remain that way
It’s funny how startups and businesses that actually needs funding and can actually make a change don’t usually get the funding Capital is easy for the people that use the solid strategy whether they are genuine or not

The Pygmalion Effect 👇 If your manager believes in you, you tend to perform better without even trying harder. People rise or fall to meet the expectations you have of them. Expect a lot, and they often deliver more. Expect little, and they’ll fit into that little bucket. As a leader, tell your teams how much you expect of them and then suddenly they start acting the role you have clearly defined for them.

Monday Reminder: Consistency is significantly more important than intensity. 🧠💯 Most people fail to reach their goals not because they lack talent, but because they expect overnight results. Intensity is going to the gym for 5 hours once a week.

The 2026 World Cup is officially around the corner, but let’s never forget how the last tournament completely broke the record books. Qatar 2022 wasn't just iconic it was the most statistically historic World Cup we have ever witnessed in modern football. Quote me with blowing records that were shattered during the last tournament
