Stargate returns for Amazon to defile its corpse

@Disparu... @SGFansUnited... Soo... How many holes does a wraith have?
Anyway... Stargate is truly dead. It was safe for so long before the ideology monsters discovered that like Daniel Jackson, they could resurrect it to rip it to shreads...

Listening to @BrandonFugal and @AlchemyAmerican talk about possible Stargates on @SWRanchOfficial is never not fascinating!

Hey @AmazonMGMStudio! You had an incredible showrunner in Martin Gero, who brought in Oscar-winning production designer Nathan Crowley and Emmy-winning VFX supervisor Mohen Leo. You had world-class talent. So what happened? #SaveStargate #SDCC

Huge respect to @BaronDestructo, @MichaelShanks and everyone fighting to keep Stargate alive. Stargate SG-1 isn't just my favorite show of all time, it's the reason I fell in love with sci-fi filmmaking in the first place. That show planted the seed for me and so many others who went on to make our own alien and sci-fi movies. It was ahead of its time then and it still holds up today.
We're pushing to get @AmazonMGMStudio to greenlight a new series, and every signature counts. If Stargate ever meant something to you, please take a minute and sign the petition:

Received a call from a French-CBC reporter this week.
Reporter: “I’ve been told that we’re no longer allowed to speak with you, and La Presse is encouraging us to distance ourselves from you because of what you wrote about media subsidies. Is that true?”
Me: “Quite possibly. La Presse and Radio-Canada are like peas and carrots: when one cancels you, the other tends to follow. It’s unfortunate—especially since I wholeheartedly support public broadcasting.”
When you listen to the news—any news—pay close attention to the experts they invite and what they say; more and more are being canceled by the public broadcaster just because we actually say what we think.
My sincere thanks to the courageous reporter who had the guts to call me and explain what was going on.

Back when my wife and I were dating, she planned the ultimate Stargate birthday. She set up a projector outside to show Children of the Gods, but rain moved it to my parents' garage. My whole family came together to make it happen. A birthday I'll never forget! #SaveStargate

"As usual, Amazon aims to chase after a so-called modern audience, but that approach has only led to further disappointment so far."

Martin Gero helped define that voice.
The humor.
The character dynamics.
The emotional moments that still stick with fans years later.
That's not something you can manufacture.
