Transnational Repression Alert
Online harassment, and Eritrean state interference has come to light involving Amanuel Gebrebrhan (Wedi Taba), an Eritrean YouTuber based in Norway, who is targeting Maebel Kiflay, a U.S., based Eritrean dissident. #Eritrea facebook.com/photo?fbid=4151…

African migrants in Lebanon are facing two unique challenges - the struggle of living under Israeli bombardment, and discrimination because of the color of their skin.

Why we should never stop talking about 18 September 2001 - the day #Eritrea became a dictatorship.

Most of the people who tragically died crossing the English channel a few days ago were from #Eritrea. I talked to @BBCAfrica about the conditions in the country that has forced countless Eritreans to flee since the dictatorship was established in 2001.

Tunisia 🇹🇳 💀⤵️
You will never know how many they are, how a family they belong to, the mother, the child, the father, the young and the dreamers of safety and bread. To me they are always the Fati Dosso, Marie and Michael, we will always recognise them.
The deadly consequences of European border externalization on people on the move in North Africa is harrowing.
The number of people killed in the desert due to the desert dumps by the Tunisian authorities is harrowing. Most of these people are captured at their workplaces, where they have permits issued by the same government. Others are caught collectively in the streets en route to work or home. Some are captured at gunpoint while trying to flee Tunisia towards Europe, thanks to the policies funded and supported by Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
These people are then crammed into buses operated by Guarde Nationals, donated by the European Union, as verified by @LHreports. They are dumped in the deserts where their fate is left to the harsh elements. These deadly effect is undeniable and amounts to crimes against humanity.
We call on the European Court of Justice to investigate these crimes and hold Giorgia Meloni and her accomplices accountable.
The international community which should be the guardians have long turned a blind and deaf ear.
It is time that the international community recognize the severity of this crisis and take immediate action to protect the rights and lives of *migrants” in North Africa.

It is imperative to bring attention to the prevailing circumstances in #Eritrea, as they have led to a substantial exodus of its populace seeking asylum in foreign lands. The nation's citizens find themselves compelled to embark on perilous journeys in search of refuge from the oppressive environment that engulfs their homeland.
The prevailing conditions in Eritrea, characterized by political repression, limited opportunities, and a lack of basic human rights, have driven many individuals to make the difficult decision to leave behind their homes and loved ones in pursuit of safety and freedom. The arduous and often life-threatening paths chosen by these refugees underscore the severity of the situation within Eritrea and the lengths to which its people are willing to go in order to secure a future free from fear and persecution. #BlueRevolution

Every time history repeats itself, the price goes up, argued Ronald Wright, rightfully. Take #Eritrea and #Ethiopia, for example. After the 1998-2000 Eritrea-Ethiopia border war, the two countries produced many expert cartographers who can tell you which hamlet falls on which side of the new officiated border as ruled by the Eritrea-Ethiopia Border Commission (EEBC.)
But nobody can tell you what another commission, Eritrea Ethiopia Claims Commission, with similar authority to issue “final & binding” ruling, decided on the damages the two people inflicted on one another. More accurately, Eritrea can tell you what Ethiopia did to it, and Ethiopia can tell you what Eritrea did to it, but neither one is willing to admit, much less be held accountable for, what it did to the other. I very much doubt that this ruling is translated in Tigrinya and Amharic.

#Eritrea|n dictatorial regime supporters claim asylum in #Norway and then after getting it take vacations in #Eritrea by making a deal with the Eritrean embassys and getting special paper this get them inside Eritrea so that their visa won't be marked on their travel documents or passports. They use neighbouring countries as labd ports and take flights to Eritrea from there. This contradicts and sabotages the reputation of genuine asylum seekers and refugees. This requires immediate attention and further stricter measures from Norwegian migration authorities. This behavior threatens the integrity of the asylum system and undermines the protection of genuine refugees, particularly #Eritrean_justice_seekers #EritreanBlueRevolution #oslo #EritreanTransnationalRepression #FreeEritreaNow @Justisdep

Timeline: The evolution of #Eritrea|n President Isaias Afwerki on matters of rights, political pluralism and the constitution.
1992: (Logical) When human and peoples rights are violated, peace is unthinkable.
1993: (Earnest) The Peoples Front has no interest in being a political or dominant political party. We won’t demand democracy to appease others but because we believe in it.
2014: (Flaring nostrils): Those seeking for politics outside the Peoples Front can look for it in another planet. Anybody who is daydreaming about what has become a fashion—democracy, political pluralism—should know there will never be such a thing, and should look for it in another planet or the moon.
2015: (Laughing) Everybody knows it doesn’t exist: why do we want to discuss whether the Eritrean constitution exists or is dead? [This was followed by announcement of a new constitutional drafting committee, proven as another empty promise 8 years later and counting)
His descent into authoritarianism and extreme arrogance is directly proportional to the size of his neck.
