That first Beer is going to taste great
Today, the club can confirm the departure of long-time servant Michael Eacott.
Michael joined us ahead of the 2021/22 season from Sutton Common Rovers and has been outstanding across 186 appearances, keeping 59 clean sheets.
He played a pivotal role in our title-winning campaign, conceding just 12 goals all season, and was instrumental in back-to-back FA Cup runs, reaching the First Round Proper against Ipswich Town and Cambridge United respectively.
Everyone at the club thanks Mike for his incredible service and commitment, and we wish him every success in the future ❤️🧤
If you had a broken foot would you still go for your morning run…?
If a player is injured should be hurt himself more get hooked to show “commitment” nonsense
Thomas Tuchel is right on Cole Palmer. He’s an exceptional creative talent, unplayable at times as PS-G learned in CWC final, but if he’s not busting a gut to play for England (like others, Gibbs-White etc) or is committed to “load management” then why on earth should Tuchel pick him? Representing your country is not a right. It's an honour that has to be earned.
He’s not starting at 10. Jude Bellingham is. Rogers is first change. Tuchel has plenty of options at 10. MG-W, and now the uncapped King. Yes, Eze is fortunate to keep his place (his character and commitment are valued). Foden is not even in the squad. Jobe Bellingham is not a 10, more a 6 or 8.
Palmer is not starting wide right as Tuchel wants pace there, usually Saka or Madueke, in this squad Ngumoha or Rogers. If Palmer wants to fight his way into the England team, he has to report, show his (undoubted) quality in training and his chance will come, given subs, injuries, rotation etc.
Over the next week, Tuchel’s chosen ones will play a packed-out Wembley against Croatia celebrating Harry Kane’s Ballon d’Or and his record-breaking 126th appearance and then test themselves against the world champions in Madrid. Big occasions. And Cole Palmer’s missing out. #ENG
& this is why england will never win a damn thing
Thomas Tuchel on Cole Palmer being overlooked, “I guess everyone is desperate to play with England. And Cole is the same. He misses too many opportunities to impress. It's not personal. We will never assume Cole is in the mindset never to come to the camp (ie he wants to play). We stick to the guys who were in camp (last time when Palmer absent), it was excellent, the impact of all the players was immense, we have Josh King as a new player, can play there (10) and both wings.” #ENG
Keep punting
Lot's of people missing the point by saying #millionpoundshot is fake. It is, tho I find this clip quite realistic as it demonstrates how gamblers can be drawn further and further in to betting and racking up debt. We're introduced to the real 'Reece' later @mattzarb

If you want Xabi out at any point this season you deserve Liam Rosenior, frankly.
Pep, Jose, Klopp all got it wrong in a few games, and, again, we're not title contenders. Xabi even said that recently.

Hahahahahah find out the cheapest fuel is 30 miles away drain ya tank to get there and before you know you, youve paid the same as your local 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I know people are worried about fuel prices. And I get it. You get to the pump, watch the numbers climb, and wonder why it's costing so much more than it used to.
The reality is that global events are pushing up costs, and families here at home are feeling the impact.
But I won't accept that there's nothing I can do to help.
That's why from today, you'll be able to see petrol and diesel prices on Google Maps, compare nearby stations and find the cheapest option before you fill up.
It's a small change, but if there's a practical way to help people keep more money in their pocket, I'll do it.
Fella is so performative how do you shorten: Man on, Squeeze, Drop if you dont understand them how you make it to the prem
🚨 Mikel Arteta plans to bring RAF fighter pilots into Arsenal to study how they communicate under extreme pressure.
His thinking: if pilots can communicate a life-or-death instruction with one clear word, football instructions should be just as precise.
🗣️ Arteta: “I will get in touch with those guys, how they communicate, because that is life or death. I’m sure they don’t use 20 phrases or 20 words if there is one word.”
This is the same manager who previously hired professional pickpockets to steal players’ belongings at a team dinner to test their awareness.
He's constantly looking to gain an edge for his club. 👏

Why would instant deportation not be the first and final action? Labour have moved ahead with releasing people early due to overcrowded prisons but well just continue locking people up who commit crimes seeking refuge? Kinda defeats the reason they’re here…
An Afghan refuee who stabbed a dog walker to death has been sentenced.
Dawood Safi stabbed Wayne Broadhurst in the street as he ran out the house after stabbing a teenager and the landlord inside the house in Uxbridge.
Safi was sentenced to indefinite hospital order.
At Southwark Crown Court, Mrs Justice Cutts said Safi, an Afghan refugee, had been "in a psychotic state" and recommended that he be deported, but said the final decision rests with the Home Secretary.
