A women who stabbed two 10 year olds at a flat in Friskney sentenced.
Ann Marie McEvoy, 45, of Colchester pleaded with two attempted murders she was jailed indefinitely in a psychiatric hospital.

A man has died after street disorder — and police have made a murder arrest.
West Midlands Police were called to Shustoke Road just before 9.25pm on Saturday (19 September).
A man in his 40s was found in the street with serious injuries and was confirmed dead at the scene.
A 38-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. A 35-year-old woman has been arrested for assisting an offender. Both are in custody for questioning.

For a second day, @metpoliceuk forensic activities continued on the scene in Clerkenwell in Islington following the fatal Stabbing of 28-year-old Reece Salmon, with Polsa Search Team conducting an intensive sweep of the scene.
This is the second publicly reported murder investigation launched this month in London. And the 69th of the year.
With the caveat, following the discovery of human remains in Feltham which relate to a missing persons case in Southampton in 2019, and the investigation lead now with Hampshire police this is no longer included in the yearly count at this time.

Four members of trafficking network jailed after forcing women into prostitution
The investigation, which was led by the Met’s Modern Slavery and Child Exploitation Team, began in 2025 following welfare checks done by Met officers at brothels linked to a separate ongoing investigation. During those visits, officers spoke to Thai women who reported their passports had been taken by a woman known to them as "Freya" or "Freya Ice Queen".
The intelligence led officers to uncover a wider network of individuals suspected of controlling multiple brothels across London and Kent.
Achareeya Spurr, 49 (4th pic), of E14, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit human trafficking, conspiracy to control prostitution for gain and acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.
Following a seven-week trial, three men were convicted, including Chin Ping, 56 (3rd pic), of E14; Ugur Sahin, 27 (1st pic), of NW4; and Sarunyoo Siriwan, 31 (2nd pic), of SE8.
They were found guilty of conspiracy to commit human trafficking, conspiracy to control prostitution for gain, acquiring, using or possessing criminal property, and facilitating a breach of UK immigration law by a non-UK national.
On Friday, 18 September, all four defendants were sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court to
Achareeya Spurr: seven years and eight months
Chin Ping: six years and nine months
Sarunyoo Siriwan: four years and four months
Ugur Sahin: four years
They were all also served with Slavery and Trafficking Prevention Orders.

Murder investigation launched after a man died of a fatal stabbing in Clerkenwell
A 28 year old man was stabbed on Wednesday 16 September he was taken to hospital.
He sadly passed away on the Thursday 17th of September.
No arrests have been made.

Police @metpoliceuk, @MetTaskforce and @Ldn_Ambulance responded to reports of a disturbance at a residential property in Croydon during the early hours of the morning.
A standoff subsequently ensued, with police negotiators deployed to the scene.
The incident was brought to a close at around 10:15am, with a man arrested at the scene.

Ali Syed from Walthamstow was extradited back from Cypriot to the uk on Tuesday 15 September.
He been also been charged witb four counts of possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm without a certificate and possession of ammunition for a firearm without a certificate.
