We were able to recreate the entire process used by the attackers by reverse-engineering the smart contracts and then using AI agents to identify specific vulnerabilities. The next step is to perform external testing to detect vulnerabilities and help the team patch each one.

Seems like XPR got exploited again... username rohtie1 was somehow able to seize XPR funds. I'm starting to lose trust considering the frequency of these attacks. Hopefully @MetallicusTDBN is taking security much more seriously after it's third exploit in a couple of months.

Cause: an authorization flaw in the webauthn contract. It let one signer act with other users' permissions, and the attacker used that to borrow against roughly 40 users' collateral and bridge out about $1.14M. LOAN and proton.swaps behaved as designed; the hole was in the auth.

Control of the attacker accounts is back with the network and proton.swaps is running patched code. 16 block producers signed within minutes, at midnight, on a Saturday.
