Project King Safety Update:
• The King Safety Paper is being shared with the Ecosystem Advisory Council this month. This is the next step in a consultative process to refine our approach before the EAC shares it more broadly with the community.
• The Foundation is committing to extending its support for bonus staking rewards for another year (until January 2028) to allow the process to run its course and get to the best possible outcome for everyone.
• Now that the protocol is under Foundation control, we are making significant protocol changes to give us far more flexibility in how transactions are priced, from a bundled fixed 0.001 ALGO price to a decoupled model where pricing can depend more closely on resources being consumed and/or the type of transaction being executed.
• While the Foundation can propose changes to improve sustainability, any decision will need to be implemented through a consensus upgrade, which will require the support of 90+% of staked Algo.

Wanted to make a quick PSA that we're seeing some vibe coded attempts to clone @lofty_ai product/codebase by someone pretending to work for us.
The purpose appears to be for this individual or entity to fake hire candidates, then send them this repo as a part of coding challenge. If you clone this repo, it will copy malicious code into your machine, probably leading to your wallet getting drained or other sensitive information getting stolen.
If you spot this behavior in the wild, please warn others, and report the individual/entity.

Algorand's Debt Standard Application took second place at the global ACTUS Use Case Competition.
ACTUS is the universal standard for machine-executable financial contracts.
The judges recognised D-ASA for actually delivering what the tokenized debt space has mostly only promised: end-to-end execution of debt contract logic, live on-chain.

Important clarification on asset inbox safety 🔐
Accepting or rejecting NFTs and tokens from your asset inbox in Pera is completely safe. This type of exploit can't occur from within the app itself.
The risk arises after leaving Pera: if you follow a link to a third-party website, connect your wallet, and sign a transaction there, that's where malicious activity can occur.
We're committed to adding more in-app safeguards to help detect and flag these risks earlier.
In the meantime, the strongest protection is staying informed: always review any transaction carefully before signing, regardless of where it originates.

Researchers just published a paper proposing @Algorand for quantum resistant timestamping in open science!
They even included a full step by step guide showing other researchers how to timestamp data on $ALGO! 👀
Algorand has supported post quantum Falcon signatures since 2022 through State Proofs, helping protect its entire transaction history against future quantum threats! 🔐
The paper argues that in a world of AI generated deepfakes and synthetic data, researchers need immutable proof that datasets, hypotheses and preregistrations existed at a specific point in time.
Actually, this is very close to what projects like LabTrace are already building on $ALGO for medical and scientific data integrity!
