Seems like a lifetime ago, but in 2021 we fought tooth and nail to keep the Hackney Downs LTN. So proud to see what it looks like today. Who would want to turn this back into a traffic-choked junction?

Chinaβs emissions are falling due to reducing oil use. Part of this was a 7% drop in aviation, with high-speed rail replacing domestic flights.
Very clever environmental campaigners in the UK said that would never happen here based on made up numbers.

It's maddening to cycle through Hackney Central thinking about how the Council spent millions reshaping Amhurst Road, Mare Street and others and failed to put in bike lanes--thus ensuring cycling there will stay dangerous for at least a generation. Criminally shortsighted
