We packed our Prague office for AI Makers / 01—an evening with three founders sharing how they actually build AI products.
Our co-founder and CEO, @hpalan, joined duvo.ai CEO Tomáš Čupr and AISLE™ Founder Ondrej Vlcek for a candid conversation about shipping products, staying sharp, and building teams that grow alongside the technology. The questions from the audience were every bit as insightful as the discussion itself.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us 🙏
AI Makers / 02 is coming on September 24, featuring our co-founder and Chief AI Officer, Daniel Hejl, diving into what product strategy looks like in the age of AI.

Launched @productboard Spark two weeks ago. First agentic product management system.
We had an early signal before. Beta calls went well. Nice things were said.
Now we pulled the actual usage data. Cumulative AI credits consumed across every customer space.
This is what it looks like when people don't just like a product, they use it, and they love it.
Early days in completely new AI era. Built by a small team that's been heads down on this for a while.❤️🚀

Productboard Spark is generally available today ⚡️
The first agentic product system, built to surface the right customer opportunities, write delivery-ready specs, and scale your team's best thinking. All from your real product data.

Something big is coming later this week! ⚡
Product teams have always deserved a system that thinks with them, knows their product, and makes everyone on the team better.
We've been building it. Stay tuned...
huvik.dev/blog/six-years-at-… Sharing my six-year journey at Productboard has been incredible. I learned a lot, made many friends, and improved the daily lives of developers.

Everyone's making extreme predictions about the future of software, and I feel left out. So here it is:
Everything will stay roughly the same. The things that were useful before now will remain useful after now.

Spent a week sick after the @productboard Mexico City CKO 😅
So I rebuilt our Spark mobile hackathon prototype from scratch.
Built with @expo SDK 55 + @claudeai (Opus 4.6).
Full MCP support, plus Productboard docs, customer insights, and your initiatives on mobile.
Spark in your pocket just feels right.
PMs! If you have worked with MCPs, what is the one integration you would want on mobile first?

I built an entire internal “operating system” in two weeks. While running a company. Here’s what’s going on.
Rails + Claude Code is a crazy unlock right now and people are sleeping on it.
@garrytan, president of YC, said exactly that to 616K people. Then shipped an 85K-LOC app in a few weeks, nights and weekends. Read that again.
Vladimir @palkan_tula Dementyev called this at SF Ruby Conference in November. His “Rails X” keynote argued Rails needs to welcome vibe coders — builders who grab AI tools and just ship. People raised an eyebrow. Garry Tan proved him right two months later.
Why Rails? Twenty years of conventions. LLMs love opinions. The more opinionated your framework, the better they perform. Convention over configuration just became a compound advantage nobody saw coming.
I proved it to myself: Evil Martians’ entire planning, HR, and financial system — built in two weeks, in parallel with my day job. Rails, SQLite, Claude Code, Layered-Rails skills. One person. Production app the whole team uses daily.
The ecosystem is moving fast. Rails 8.1 shipped AI-native features. @paolino released the Agentic DSL for RubyLLM. The YC president is tweeting about Ruby. If you blink you’ll miss the turn.
I know we’re all slammed. But clear your Wednesday.

18 open Ruby roles, 9 companies, salaries up to $300K. Gusto, Chime, bolt.new, Omada, Thatch, and more. Market’s hot too. 🔥

Hey, PMs 👋
We just shipped an AI agent that knows your product context BEFORE you ask your first question.
While you're still explaining your roadmap to ChatGPT, this thing already scraped the web and loaded everything about your company.
Here's how it works:

Hot take: Structured UI isn't dead. It's more important than ever.
There's a growing narrative in the agentic AI world: "Software will be deeply personalized. Everyone will interact through their own AI layer. The UI is over."
I think this misses two things. 🧵

Context windows are AI's dirty secret - most tools lose critical info in the middle of long inputs.
Spark's new architecture extracts intent and identifies topics reliably across thousands of customer conversations. No limitations, no primacy-recency bias.

"Can't I just do this with Claude Code?"
It's the first question people ask about Spark, our new PM agent. So I went straight to the source for an answer. 😄
Give Spark a try and see for yourself!

The bottleneck in product development has shifted.
Building is becoming instant with AI.
Context is now the scarce resource.
Spec-driven development is the king.
That's what Spark is built for. 👇

I've been reading a lot of AI stans claiming that AI will replace software developers—clear proof that whoever claims that is not a developer. First, the days of the coder—who just codes up a specification—are over. A software developer does way more than code—it's a multidisciplinary skill. At best, AI can be a mediocre coder. Moreover, the notion that you can create a great program from a detailed up-front spec is long disproven, but that's at the core of the AI-will-replace-developers argument. That spec will be rendered worthless with the first release. You need to iterate towards "good" with small releases. So, the best the AI can do is create a mediocre program that doesn't meet true customer needs.
Frankly, if AI could take over some of the rote coding tasks for me, I'd be pleased. That's no different than using a library or framework instead of manually writing the underlying code. The introduction of frameworks did not make software developers obsolete. As it is, AI-generated code requires careful inspection, so it's not exactly painless. I'm hoping the situation will improve, but even if the AI can generate perfect code, coding is not software development.
