Just another day at the office... except the office is in orbit. 🌍
A pretty special view from FCL.

We’re live! 🚀
Last week, our first communications payload, FCL, launched aboard SpaceX Transporter-18, and has since powered on and given us the thumbs up.
Now we’re putting FCL through its paces in orbit, demonstrating a new approach to satellite communications for governments and commercial organisations worldwide.

Meridian Space is in orbit. 🚀Last week, our First Customer Link (FCL) mission successfully launched aboard @SpaceX's Transporter-18. Our communications payload is now active in low Earth orbit, a major milestone after five years of development, engineering and testing. Now, in-orbit testing is under way.

.@MeridianSpace: Our first Customer Link sat is healthy in orbit after separation following @SpaceX Transporter 18 launch. Will demo electronically steerable beams & payload performance up to 1.1 Gbps for future constellation customers. Sat uses @NanoAvionics MP42 platform.
Today, Meridian is heading to space. Our FCL mission is the next step towards enabling governments and commercial organizations to own and control LEO constellations built around their requirements. #MeridianSpace #LEO

It's been just over a year since project kickoff, and @MeridianSpace's First Customer Link (FCL) satellite is sitting atop its launch vehicle, ready to demonstrate Meridian's proprietary 5G communications technology in orbit.
Set to launch aboard Transporter-18 on October 1st at 18:18 UTC, FCL carries Meridian's proprietary communications payload, including two advanced reflectarray antennas, aboard our MP42 microsatellite bus.
These systems will lay the foundation for what's coming next:
A constellation-optimized satellite we are designing together for scalable manufacturing, with a compact, power-efficient design that makes the most of launch vehicle payload volume and reduces deployment costs as Meridian scales toward its high-capacity LEO constellation.
For governments and enterprises, this will open up more accessible, sovereign broadband infrastructure that they can own and control independently.

Our CEO Massimiliano Ladovaz joined David Ariosto on the @SpaceNews_Inc Space Minds podcast to talk about what drew him to Meridian and why the old constellation economics don't hold up anymore.
The conversation covers rising demand for operational sovereignty as the geopolitical map shifts, the case for a handful of smaller, distributed constellations over betting everything on one dominant system, and where space infrastructure actually fits into the next decade of terrestrial-orbital integration.

The Meridian FCL Satellite has completed environmental testing, closing out its full test campaign ahead of launch this October. It stands today as flight-qualified hardware, ready to demonstrate a live customer link.
Thermal vacuum and vibration are behind us. Our Meridian communications payload has now been validated across the full range of conditions it will face in orbit, integrated on the MP42 bus from our partner @NanoAvionics.
Years of work by the Meridian engineering team brought the antenna through multiple generations to this point. Our thanks to everyone across Meridian Space and our partner ecosystem.

Satellite: successfully shaken.
@SpinLaunch is now one step closer to launching its first customer link satellite, carrying the payload that will power the 280-satellite Meridian Space broadband constellation:
SpinLaunch's low-power, high-throughput reflectarray antenna, paired with flight heritage derived from our MP42 microsatellite bus, is designed to deliver global Tbps capacity in far fewer launches than other SatCom systems in low Earth orbit.
For governments and enterprises, that means affordable, sovereign broadband infrastructure they can own and control independently.
Passing its shake test at our partner's V2i cleanroom facilities was step #1 of the satellite's "Test as You Fly" campaign, demonstrating nothing will come loose or break during its launch.
Afterward, the satellite entered our thermal vacuum chamber to run test scripts under simulated cold, heat, and vacuum conditions, just like in space.

Last year, we introduced Meridian, a LEO constellation designed to reset the cost structure of satellite communications. Today, we are proud to announce the successful installation of our Meridian communications payload on the @NanoAvionics MP42 satellite bus, with end-to-end testing completed ahead of full system qualification. The fully assembled FCL (First Customer Link) satellite will now advance into environmental testing in preparation for its October launch.
This milestone reflects not only technical progress, but the maturation of a repeatable, deployment-ready system configuration that will underpin future customer missions. It is a defining moment for the Meridian program and a testament to the precision and dedication of our team.

SpinLaunch has been named in @Via_Satellite's “10 Hottest Companies in Satellite for 2026.” interactive.satellitetoday.c…
The recognition reflects continued progress on the Meridian Space constellation, including our reconfigurable reflectarray technology and a LEO architecture focused on performance, efficiency, and operator control.

We and @SpinLaunch have cleared multiple milestones in recent weeks towards its Meridian Space broadband megaconstellation for enterprise users:
— SpinLaunch completed lab testing of its novel reflectarray antenna, demonstrating the critical functions required for its low-mass, high-throughput satellites.
— Our teams successfully closed the Delta Design Review for SpinLaunch's First Customer Link mission, hosted on our standard MP42 microsatellite bus, and booked its launch.
— We concluded a FlatSat training session for SpinLaunch, so their team could perform hardware-in-the-loop testing and develop the software interface between their payload and our MP42 bus.
— First Customer Link satellite flight hardware entered production.
— We made substantial progress towards our new European satellite factory, which will house serial manufacturing lines for the initial 280 Meridian Space constellation satellites and other large customer orders. More on that next month, during our presentation at Space Tech Expo Europe.
Visit our blog below to learn how SpinLaunch's novel antenna and bent-pipe architecture, paired with our mass-efficient satellite buses, can deliver multi-Tbps of capacity in far fewer launches and at a fraction of the cost of traditional broadband constellations in low Earth orbit.
We’re building a new model for LEO satcom - and that vision just got a major boost! We're proud to announce we have closed $30M in funding to accelerate the deployment of Meridian Space, our cost-efficient, high-performance satcom constellation:

While @spinlaunch is rethinking what's possible with lighter, more efficient satellite broadband constellations, our modular satellite buses are helping its Meridian Space constellation move fast without compromising reliability.
And whether it's enabling fast-moving constellations like Meridian Space or supporting entirely different missions in Earth observation, national security, or science, our standard satellite platforms are built to adapt.
Modular by design, they make it easy for missions of all types and sizes to achieve their mission success.
