The best story to come out of this RC cycle is this deck going 8-1 on day one of the Canadian RC.
Ended up the tournament 10-4, good for the 28th place and 500$ ! I am proud of myself as this is my best performance yet. Vibes were good and it was nice to cheers for friends who qualified for the PT.
@fireshoes
The phelia over the 4th ketramose was probably wrong btw
Registered Esper Ketramose for our local RC. Currently 6-3 so locked for day !
Basically @TSPJendrek updated list with very small tweeks. Deck is so much fun to play and river of tears is goated.

If you are wondering why I think Organised Play is important - it's to draw people like Jason to the game to test the game's limits.
Without them, Magic is always gonna be underexplored and not use its full potential. And over time turn bad.

Why don't we bring back the PWP system right now and make promo cards playable?
- You get 1 point for participating in an official tournament, 3 points for winning a match, and 1 point for losing. If your total points reach a certain threshold each season (4 times a year), a special Abhorrent Oculus promo will be sent to you via WPN Premium Stores. You can check your points anytime on the web or through the Companion app. Furthermore, if you have a massive amount of points, you get invited to the RC.
- The top 8 of an RCQ receive a promo of Professor Dellian Fel, and the winner gets an additional foil version.
- You get a Riddler for participating in the main RC event.

It’s truly crazy how they went from having the best game and the best organized play to be a board game.

You know what I really miss? The World Magic Cup. The event was super unique, it lead to some very iconic moments because of the team aspect and the "playing for your country" thing made it easy to explain to people not super enfranchised.

⚠️ Update: it's getting worse
The Standard season started last weekend. For the first time in the province of Quebec, not a single store has scheduled a Standard RCQ, aside from the Regional Championship tournament organizer, Face to Face, on September 20th.
The Standard RCQ location is definitely problematic, but with the poor promos, there’s also very little incentive for stores to run RCQs.
Three years ago, before a season even started, we would already have 20–30 RCQs scheduled. FYI, we even had a season with over 60 RCQs.
I want to play. I just can’t.
The system simply isn’t working right now.
What are you waiting for @PlayMTG?

Even as a UB pessimist I have some curiosity about how certain IPs get translated into Magic cards. Star Trek is not one of them.

Very happy about this weekend RC ended up 9-5 ! Finished 35th, just short of min. cash and requalification, but it's still my best performance in an RC so I can't complain. Learned a lot about myself in the process. Thanks to the @worldlycounsel team for the help in the process!

This weekend we have our two crews competing for the PT invite!
Our CAN crew is looking strong with Noe & Omar both sitting at 7-2 heading into Day 2
On the SA side, we had @Mengu09 successfully LCQ in & Escaffi + João narrowly missing their PT win&in😢
